We continued to run for quite some time before we even dared to stop. "It's all my fault Legolas! I put everyone in danger! All those children and the wounded!" Legal stopped running and turned around and took my face in his hands. "It's not your fault Atarah, they did this to you, we can fix this by meeting Alradiain at the great tree." I stared into his eyes, they are precious and pure like the stars. He let me go and began to jog but I continued to stand there. "Why did I call your name? When I was dying on the battlefield. Why not Alradiain's?" Legolas stopped but didn't face me. "I don't know, maybe that was the last memory you could hold onto."
We continued to run through the night. Not stopping to rest. It was a long and hard run but we knew the enemy was not far behind. We reached the great tree between the mountains at dawn. But no one was there. "We are two days early, we should wait here for him." Legolas started to sit up camp. "For two two days?! No that's a waste of time. It's too dangerous here! staying in the same place for two days will attract unwanted attention." I studied the map. "And how do you suppose you will get home without Alradiain? We can follow the path but we will be spotted especially now knowing they know where you were." He stood up to face me. "We have to wait for him to show us the secret way." He studied the tree,"this tree is feels magical, we should be safe hear if we are careful." I stood before the tree, I felt it, I felt it's power. Something tugged at my memory, something wanting to coming back. I felt it try to burst through a wall. I touched the bark and a flash of memory returned. Only for a second and was gone again. But a second was all I needed. I touched the secret knot before I forgot the memory again. A door open I looked through to see a tunnel heading down. Legolas stood stunned. "How did you know how to find that?" He asked standing behind me. "Like you said this tree is magical, the tree allowed me to see for a second how to open the entrance. It must be a tree of my people. I think your father was right. I must get to my people to get my memory back." He smiled and gathered his things again. "We will rest in the tunnel, we wouldn't want the door to shut during our rest, since you don't remember." He smirked.
We traveled down the tunnel. It was beautifully made with the walls and roof covered in roots. Suddenly we saw a light ahead. Straight away Legolas and I flattered ourselves against the wall and slowly crept towards the light.
