Hidden in the Woods

this really isn't a lot, but just for the record I'm not sure where I'm going with this..

"It's you!!"  "It's you!!" Corey screamed, the beast gave him a sharp toothed smile.  He took it as a yes and did the only thing he could do, struggle.  The beast watched them struggle for a good ten minutes and soon Corey got pretty fed up, so he said, on impulse, "Why don't you just get it over with you sack of moss!?" He immediately regretted it.  

He felt the color drain from his face, and went still.  He stood like this a only a few seconds although it felt think minutes.  All of a sudden Corey stumbled forward.  Astonished he looked down at his feet.  Corey turned back to Damon whose face was also a look of shock.  They came to their senses and sprinted on towards the closet end of the woods near civilization.

The beast was already at the end of the woods before they got there.  Corey and Damon was backing away when the beast started to talk for the first time.

"You're not going to escape so why try?" it said in a raspy, deep, distorted voice.

They responded by running away again which was not so bright after they thought about it.  The Beast was in front 0f the pair in a second.  But Corey did something even Damon didn't expect.  He charged the Beast, he ran straight forward and attacked.  Because the Beast was caught 0ff guard, Corey knocked him to the ground. 

"Run, Damon! Run!!"  But Damon did not run out 0f the woods, he ran towards Corey and he1ped him 0ut 0f his predicament.  They started to run again and this time the Beast didn't follow.  Maybe he let them go for now?  But Corey's question was answered when he felt a sharp pain in the back 0f his thigh.

Corey dropped t0 the ground and screamed in agony.  He could feel something race up his leg.  What was wrong with this beast what did it have against them!  Damn helped him up and led him out 0f the woods and onto the main road.  Cars zoomed by.  How could the drivers not hear our screams?  Damon and Corey limped back t0 Damon's house.  Once they got there they both dropped t0 the ground and sobbed, no longer caring about being tough.  They cried in horror, in grief, and shock.  

Sweet, Caring, Johnny.  He couldn't be dead.  I guess the quote, "only the good die young," Is actually more accurate than I thought.

Corey's nightmares consisted 0f images 0f Johnny being ripped apart.  Events that happened only hours before.  As Corey laid there trying t0 rest, he felt a sharp pain in his fingers.  Corey moaned.  He rolled out 0f bed and turned 0n the light.  

long, sharp, yellow nails were erupting from his fingers.  And green was emerging from his skin.

A screech escaped Corey's mouth.
