𝟏𝟎𝟎% 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞~ 𝐊𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐤𝐞

Start from the beginning

The team on the court stared at him.

"Well do you have any better ideas?" he asked, blankly.

The team shook their head, ashamed.

"Okay, let's do it then."

"They've started losing a lot of points..." Y/N commented.
"I'll be put in soon," Kita sighed, already knowing. "I'll come back to talk as soon as we start getting points back."

At that, the coach called him over and he took off.

He switched out with Suna and they slowly began getting points back as they took the set.

"We won!" Atsumu cheered, trying to set the mood. "L/N-chan, high five!" he grinned.

You smiled as you held up your hand.

He interlocked your fingers together and everyone watched as the meter went up.

"Aww, only 67%," he frowned. "Kita-san, you try!"
"No thank you, Atsumu, you know how I feel about soulmates."

He turned to you, apologetically.

"I'm sorry. I just don't think I'm ready to know yet," he said.
"Of course, I understand," Y/N smiled. "I don't either."

The two separated from each other and the team stared, dumb-founded.

"What just happened...?"

┍━━━━━━━ ✿ ━━━━━━━┑

It had been two months since then. It was time for nationals and Inarizaki was about to go against some school named Karasuno?

"I went to that training camp with their setter," Atsumu nodded.
"We'll beat them easily," Osamu reassured.
"Let's win," Aran grinned.

They walked onto the court and their cheering squad began to play. Kita threw his jacket off to the side and Y/N hurried to catch it.

She brought it over to the bench and sat down.

"It's chilly in here," she muttered.

'Whatever, we'll just take an easy win.'

┍━━━━━━━ ✿ ━━━━━━━┑

It wasn't easy.

They were playing a third set and the points were already in the 30s.

Everybody was exhausted as the score itched up slowly.

Karasuno was currently one point ahead.

Suddenly, Osamu came running from the back.

Just as he and Atsumu did quick, they was blocked by the freak duo from Karasuno as they sent the ball flying to the end of the court.

Kita watched, helpless, as the he watched the ball touch the ground. Almost like in slow motion.

But they had lost.

Inarizaki had lost all because of a single block.

She watched as the team accepted their fate, sad and disappointed.

Specifically, a duo haired captain.

He didn't have his usual face on, but he wasn't smiling.

┍━━━━━━━ ✿ ━━━━━━━┑

She watched as the team walked down the stairs to head to the lobby when the twins suddenly stopped in place.

"S-sorry-"
"Are you two trying to feel some relief by apologizing?" Kita asked.

The twins practically froze in place, panicked.

"That's not it at all!"
"I know, I know, my bad."

Suddenly, Kita began to lecture the twins, saying that they shouldn't be disappointed.

Then he smiled and left.

"Did he just smile...?"
"He's been smiling a little during the match too."

Kita stopped in his tracks, looking down.

"Still, it is pretty frustrating."

The team had done everything they could've and it still wasn't enough.

But as Kita turned to face his team, Y/N secretly behind the taller players, she seen a genuine smile on his face.

"Well? Isn't my team amazing? I wanted to say it even more."

┍━━━━━━━ ✿ ━━━━━━━┑

"Kita-san?"

Y/N walked over to the lone captain and stood beside him.

"Oh, Y/N-chan."
"You did your best, you really did! You guys were amazing!" she began babbling.
"Thank you," he said, chuckling a bit.
"It's nice to see you smile," she commented. "I don't see it too often."
"I can't help it when you're being cute like this."

She felt her face flush and she turned away from him.

"Y/N?"
"Hmm?" she asked, noticing his tone.
"Give me your hand."

Her heart raced as she placed hers on top of his.

His hands were soft, gentle, even.

"A-are you sure, Kita-san?"

He nodded and interlocked their fingers.

10%, 20%...

They watched, both nervous as the meter continued to go up until it reached 99% and stopped.

Both of them looked down, disappointed.

Suddenly, they heard a quiet dinging sound and they looked at the meter.

100%.

Kita scooped the girl into his arms and spun her around.

"It's been you all this time," he whispered, happily. "I finally found you.'"

The team watched the two, amazed at what just happened.

"I TOLD YOU SO!" Atsumu boasted.

Mya Speaks:
I cried so much over that scene in Haikyuu. I miss Inarizaki already.

I hope you guys enjoyed this one shot, because the idea came to me in the middle of English class while we were reading 100% Perfect Girl by Haruki Murakami and I bolted up 3/4 through the story. It was a little embarrassing but I just N E E D E D to write it down.

Also, please send in some requests because yours truly is really running out of ideas-
