PM: A PM is just a Private Message. It is kinda like an email. If you go to their profile, and click the 'Message' button, then you can message them. Or you can go to 'Inbox' and click '+New Message' and then you can PM them whatever you want.
DM: It stands for Direct Message. It is basically the exact same thing as a PM.
MB: It means the Message Board. It's where people post things. If you go to someone's profile, then click 'Conversations' you'll head to their Message Board. Everyone can post on it, and it notifies the person, so they can respond to it.
