"could you drive any slower jack," emily carey whined sarcastically as jack drove the two friends towards his house. "will you shut up child. duncan shut your girlfriend up, yeah?" jack laughed. duncan's eyes widened, "ew she's no my girlfriend, i'm literally bisexual. losers." duncan wheezed while slapping carey's face as if that would shut her up, "that still means you like girls, nincompoop." 

"right we're here. what's your plan?" dylan grazer asked the two, both who were giddy with excitement. "well i was thinking-" "ACTUALLY I WAS. what if we just casually walked in and yelled out for maeve to come and help us, she'll think it's you or finn and probably help and then we'll surprise her," emily smirked after cutting the boy off. then without getting cut off mid-sentence duncan spoke, "yeah, just make sure you get the whole thing on camera, i wanna keep it." 

"maeve darling!" duncan sang out, biting his lip from trying not to laugh loudly and giving it away. on the other hand emily was silently wheezing and bending over in pain from laughing too hard. "what?" the girl upstairs spoke, she was confused because neither of the boys spoke like that, unless it was her mother. no, that voice was a lower pitch than her mothers.

"come help finn and i downstairs!" jack yelled, making it more convincing for the girl. "ok let me chuck a sweater on." she yelled. as remedy was fumbling around in her room for a sweatshirt, duncan and emily were hiding behind the island, ready to pop up casually with a pizza finn ordered before jack left. 

"ok, yeah. what?" maeve smiled suspiciously as she came into the kitchen, jack and finn made eye contact causing them to almost blow it but from glares from the pair behind the island they stopped and spoke. "just sit down the pizza should be here soon," finn smiled. the two behind the counter forgot that was their cue to stand up so jack cleared his throat, "what finn said was, the pizza should be here soon." 

finally getting the memo emily and duncan stood up facing mave, "pizza?" duncan chuckled. "holy mother of jesus." she spoke, hand flying to her mouth as she slowly started taking in that her friends were here and not behind a screen. with a squeal, she got up and ran to the both of them, hugging duncan first and then moving to bear hug emily. 

"then we made the plan in the car and this happened so yup!" emily giggled after finishing the back story on how they got here. "holy shi-" she paused because of a glare from a certain oldie "shitake mushrooms," maeve added quickly.

it was monday, which meant emily and duncan had to fly back yesterday. we didn't get long enough but we planned our next trip to see each other.

it's 7am and i am not in the mood for a run. i walked downstairs and the smell of fresh made pancakes wafted in the air, taking a breath in, i ran into the kitchen stole four pancakes and gobbled them up.

"i'm off to school, bye boys!" i yelled, getting a 'later mae' from both the boys. 

halfway on my walk to school a car pulled up next to mine, "good morning. what's a pretty lady like you doing walking to school?" the familiar brunette winked. not in the mood to talk i just shrugged and continued walking but obviously this boy doesn't give up and he kept following me slowly. "ok what do you want, louis partridge" i grumbled. he smiled, leaning out the window. "well, mave remedy. i would like to be your ride to school." my eyes widened.

"nope, no. absolutely not. i mean cool, you know my name but why are you doing this?" i laughed, confused as ever. "because i want mon- you and i to be friends!" i was confused to what he was going to say before but didn't think anything of it.

after a bit of persuasion from louis, i got into his car and we drove to school. on the drive he tried starting up conversations, which i quickly shut down. "right, so. you and i, date, tonight. i'll pick you up." he suddenly said. my eyes once again going as big as saucers. "uhhh," i dragged, trying to think of an excuse to get out of this. 

"c'mon remedy it'll be fun! i'm not what people say i am y'know?" he smiled softly. nice to know you know what people think or say about you, imagine. giving in, i smiled and nodded. "what time?" 

louis did his little victory dance or whatever before answering. "does 5:30pm work?" again i pursed my lips and nodded. 

the day dragged on as usual. when i got home i notified the boy's i had a date tonight, bad idea because they started 'ooh'ing and 'ahh'ing. i chose my outfit which was just a plain red dress with a v-dip and lace to cover most of my cleavage. i looked pretty. i actually looked pretty and not for a dumb boy but for myself. i smiled in the mirror and quickly took a mirror selfie to look back and think how hot i was.

the doorbell rang and the butterfly zoo had opened. i don't know why i felt so nervous and excited, it was just louis partridge. get it together maeve. i could hear finn and jack interrogating louis downstairs so i ran down and saved him just in time. 

"louis, hey!" i smiled, not a fake one i'd usually give him but a real genuine one. what is wrong with me tonight? "whoa, you look stunning," he softly spoke, a blush rushed to my cheeks as i looked down. "right well you two have fun and have her home by 12, boy." jack intructed, his fake overprotective 'brother' act kicking in. "yeah 12 latest, no funny business people." finn added, shooing the two of us out of the house. 

"i didn't want to say it in there because they might've beaten me up, i dunno. but you look absolutely breathtaking maeve remedy." i could tell my features softened from a smile into the 'puppy dog eyes' as duncan and emily call it. "and you sir, look just like the charmer you are."i giggled.

turns out louis had planned this way earlier he took me to the carnival and we went on all the rides, except the ferris wheel for a reason, you'll find out in a second. he even won a cute little toy cow for me! we got cotton candy too, had mexican food from the resteraunt across from the carnival. then we got icecream and waited in line for the ferris wheel.

the ferris wheel was magical, the view, the breeze, the stars and pale moonlight. louis eyes look stunning in the light. without realizing it, the two of us started leaning in and BAM. we were kissing. it felt like the butterflies got blasted away and replaced with the fireworks that were now going off in my stomach. 

apparently louis took a photo of us kissing somehow and i got the message after i had been dropped home. new lock-screen for a while? i smiled.
