Chapter 24 - Awkward Dinner

"Well it is lovely to meet you all" Mum said and went round hugging them all

"Now my parents and I are going to my room to have a nice long talk, we will be down later" I said

I kissed all my mates.

"Love you Kel" Henry said

"Love you all too" I said

I excitedly pulled my parents towards the lift. We all got I and I pushed the button to go to my room. The lift eventually stopped and we arrived.

"This is my room" I said

"I love your room, it is so gorgeous" Mum said

"It is very big" Dad said

"Thanks now let's go sit on my bed" I said

I dragged them and sat on my bed with them.

"First things first, how are you guys alive? Aunt told me you guys died when I was a baby" I said

"Well we didn't die, we ran away" Dad started

"Why? Why did you run away and leave me?" I said sadly

"I grew up with no parents and my whole life I thought they were dead. I grew up seeing my friends happy with all their parents and whenever someone asked about mine, my response was you guys were dead. Do you know how it felt to grow up without parents?" I said sadly and confused

"Kelani we are really sorry, look we don't expect you to forgive us straight away. But we had to get away. We just needed to leave and we are sorry" Dad said

"Well good don't expect me to forgive you so quickly. You left and I was left with my aunt as a little child thinking you guys were dead and you were alive this whole time. You know it hurt me every time to see children with their parents at school. Their parents picked them up and hugged them tightly and I never knew what that felt like because you guys were 'dead'. But you know what I had my aunt with me and she stuck by my side and has been there with me since day one. She died and I didn't take it easy. It was hard on me and eventually I found my mates. My mates and best friends are now my family. They are the best family I could ask for. I am glad you guys are back but don't expect me to forgive you guys straight away" I said now crying again.

Mum and dad brought me into a hug and kissed me and I hugged them back.

"This doesn't mean I forgive you, I just need a hug from my parents" I said crying

"We know and we are so sorry princess. We will try everyday to make it up to you if we can. We are so so sorry princess" Mum said and kissed my forehead.

I pulled away from the hug and said "I am going to cook dinner, are you guys coming downstairs or staying up here?"

"We will stay in your room for a bit but we will be down in a few minutes" Mum said

"Alright" I said and smiled

I walked to the lift and pushed the button. It finally arrived and I walked in the lift and pushed the button to go downstairs. I waited and finally arrived in the lounge. I walked out the lift and walked straight to my mates and sat down with them. I sat in Edward's lap and cried softly. He and Alice gently stroked my head while Clint and Henry held my hands and rubbed softly. Wanda and Stiles kissed my cheeks and Rosalie rubbed my back. I finally sat up and looked at them all. I rubbed my eyes and wiped away all the tears.

"I am sorry for crying" I said

"Doll why are you apologizing? you did nothing wrong" Bucky said and cupped my cheek.
