Our Deal

"Jacky!" Ronnie called. I rolled over in my bunk sitting up and walking out to where he was.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"Do you know what today is?" He questioned, eyes curious. I tried to remember, but nothing came to me.

"Hint?"

"One name: Nicole." He stated. My eyes widened, mood immediatley lifted.

"I knew you'd know after I said her name." He laughed. I shook my head, sitting down on the couch.

"Are you going to ask her out, or am I going to have to make her ask you out?" Ronnie teased. I glared at him, not too amused.

"Calm down Jacky. I don't know why you haven't yet. It's obvious she likes you."

"I don't know Ronnie. I really really like her, but there's just part of me that doesn't think she'd say yes." I explained, looking at my hands the entire time.

"Jacky, I was talking to her last night; she likes you!" Derek groaned from the kitchen area.

"Did you ask her?"

"Yeah."

"How?" I questioned, interested.

"I said something like would you date Jacky and she said yes." He shrugged. I groaned, throwing my head back.

"That basically gives me away Derek!"

"I think you two have some high school teenage girls in you." Ron said as he passed by us. I shoved him out of the room, hearing him snicker.

"Jacky, just ask her after we perform or something. If she doesn't say yes, I'll get you a new shirt." Ronnie proposed. I thought about it, nodding my head.

"That's fair enough."

-------Later that day-------

"Can't you see?" Ronnie hollered into the mic, dropping his arms and just listening to all of us finish the final song. We waved, running off to the side of the stage after throwing picks and drum sticks into the crowd. Nicole smiled brightly at me. I swiftly took off my guitar, hugging her tight.

"That was amazing Jacky!" She gushed. I blushed, biting my lip to keep from grinning too much.

"Thank you! So, I uh, wanted to ask you something.." I began, shifting my eyes back and forth from her eyes to the floor.

"Yes?" Her voice chirped.

"Will you, um,"

Oh, come on Jacky! Just ask her! I thought to myself.

"Be my girlfriend?" I finished.

"What?"

"I've really really liked you for awhile now, and I want us to have an even better relationship than we already have. I want to go on dates with you and do adorable couple things with you."

"Jacky, look at me." She said. I glanced into her eyes. They shone with the spark that was always in her eyes.

I kissed her.

"Of course I'll be your girlfriend. Only if you'll be my boyfriend though." She winked. I kissed her cheek.

"It's a deal."
