Narrator's pov

-

"What-"

"You said they'd hop on me by now right? Doesn't that mean they want to ride me?"

"Technically yes-"

"So, do you want to ride me?" Ember chuckled

"Would it be creepy if I said yes?" the short hair girl asked

Ember chuckled softly as she shook her head, there was just something about the girl that she couldn't help but melt into

"Not at all" Ember said

"Then I'm totally interested" The girl smirked

"Oh. Oh damnnn" Ember chuckled

"You're really pretty, you know that?"

Ember's eyes wided a bit as she stared at the girl, raising a brow

"What?"

"I said you're pretty" the girl smiled

"O-Oh"

"You act as though you've never heard it before" the short hair girl chuckled

"I.... Um"

"Wait... Don't tell me-"

"Yeah, no one's ever told me that before" Ember chuckled awkwardly, lowering her head to stare at her shoes, avoiding all visuals of the short hair girl

"You're kidding"

"Wish I was. Unless you count the weird boomers online that always ask for titty pics"

"Just ask them to send theirs first and they disappear" The short hair girl chuckled

"Oh my God, I'll use that thank you"

"You're welcome" The girl smiled

Their eyes meet for a while, lingering as if they had a mental conversation with each other

It was obvious to Ember that the girl was leading down a road further than just a simple conversation

There was a connection between "beauty" and "love," something she found herself falling for when she first noticed Gabrielle

Breathtakingly beautiful was one definitely a way to describe her, but that wasn't just the reason Ember was taken by her

Her form of beauty that was merely aesthetic was something that could inspire lust - a thin replica of love based more in desire and conquest

But real beauty comes from within and it was only that form of beauty that could make lasting love connections. True love was a unity of souls, not facial features and products that will be wiped clean away come the evening time

Lust can be fun - she was not saying it wasn't - but where does it lead? What is it's purpose? Everyone she knew that prefered lust to love was damaged by someone

They won't trust anymore and without trust you couldn't have love, it just wasn't possible

Nothing can touch that but a true lover,  trustworthy and kind. Ember glanced over to the window and still saw the two men sitting there in what seem to be a small bicker yet no sign of Gabrielle anywhere

Trust, something she hadn't realized she had given Gabrielle without hesitation. But now her trust was broken as well as her heart

A hole that was going to take a while to fill if she even considered it
