Should I call someone?

I grabbed my phone and browsed my contacts. I should try Eunbi.

"Oh, Wonyoung?"

"Eunbiii! What are you doing today?"

"Why? Are you gonna ask me out?"

"Why does it weird me out when you say that? But, anyways, yeah, something like that."

"Aww, too bad. I kinda want to but I made plans with Hyewon today."

"Wait, what?! HYEWON?!"

"Why? It's just a friendly date... for now."

"FOR NOW?! SO, YOU MEAN? Gosh, never mind. I'm hanging up."

"Okay, byeeeee~"

Should I try calling Chaeyeon?

"Chaeeee~"

"Nyoung, something up?"

"I'm alone and bored."

"Stay home then, you little child." She just chuckled.

"Who's that? Wonyoungie?" I heard a familiar voice on the other line.

"BABY WONYOUNGIEEE! KKURA SAYS HI!"

"DON'T TELL ME-"

"Right, I'm with Kkura right now so I can't really hang out. Sorry~ I'm hanging up now~"

And.... she hung up.

Whatever. GOOD FOR THEM THEY'RE ALL LIVING THEIR BEST LIVES.

I'll just go watch a movie myself. I made myself my own snacks and positioned myself in front of the TV.

I woke up to my phone's ringtone. I guess I dozed off while watching.

My brother just gave me a missed call and a few messages about house matters and stuff. My friends really be enjoying themselves, huh.

I decided to go to the convenience store out of boredom and I was also hungry but too lazy to cook.

I was about to enter the convenience store when someone called me.

"Wonyoung!" Yujin was sitting on the seats outside the store. She looked quite... surprised? Relieved? Whatever.

"You were there? Didn't notice you." I teased her.

"Of course, you wouldn't. Your mind's literally flying every moment." She teased back.

I just gave her a "sheesh" and went inside the store. I was about to go on my way home when she called me again.

"You really like calling my name, don't you?" I told her.

"Why? Does it bother you? Does your heart flutter?" She teased, again.

"Ugh. What do you want?" I rolled my eyes at her.

"Stop acting like you didn't miss me, you whiny baby. We literally haven't talked in ages." She said.

"Wow. The nerve. Why? Did you miss me then?" I asked her, jokingly.

"Well, yes, so will you hang out with me now?" She said.

I was left flustered. I felt weird yet... satisfied? Jeez, there must be something wrong with me.

"So, what were you doing?" Yujin was already standing next to me.

"Why are you even asking? Don't you have anything else to do?" I tried brushing her off.

"Hmm... Maybe I did have plans? But, someone gave me a call earlier this morning telling me a baby is bored so I had to give that someone a favor." She said.

"What does that have to do with me?" I asked, pretending I don't get what she's saying.

"You're not that stupid, Wonyoung. You know you're that 'baby'." She just laughed.

"Seriously, stop calling me that!" I exclaimed.

"Aigoo~ Look at her whining again." Her teasing will never end.

"So, what were you doing? You weren't answering your phone." Yujin asked while walking beside me on my way home.

"I was sleeping. By the way, why are you walking with me?" I asked.

"I just told you I'm keeping you company today. Do you have short-term memory or what?" She replied.

"I didn't say yes, though." I told her.

"Oh my goodness. Fine. I'm leaving." She said and turned her back.

Before I could even notice, my hand already reached out to stop her. Seriously, what the heck did I just do?

"What?"

"I didn't say I was also declining." I said to keep face.

Her lips slowly formed into a big smile and she grabbed my hand.

"I was actually just teasing you. I wasn't really leaving. It would be a waste coming here." She said and kept grinning.

"Jeez. I almost felt bad, you know." I told her.

"Aww, did I make the baby feel bad? Sorry~" She said in baby talk.

"Not with the baby again."

We simply just watched another movie and I ended up having to prepare something because a sudden visitor came.

Yujin stayed until evening and eventually went home after messing with me the entire time.

"So, are you... You know?" My brother said as soon as I got back inside the house after seeing Yujin off.

"Just how many times do I have to say no?" I answered him.

He just shrugged and walked away. That sassy prick.
