Chapter 3.

After a little bit I went upstairs to pack my things for the sleepover. I packed a pair of my pj’s, socks, my pillow, and then I went into the bathroom and grabbed my toothbrush, epi-pen and slippers. I heard the telephone ring in my bedroom I ran in there and answered it.

“Hey Abby do you want to watch a movie here?” She asked.

“Sure.” I said grinning.

“Are you gonna want popcorn?” She asked sounding worried.

“Yeah sure.”

“I don’t have popcorn though could you maybe put some in your bag before you get here?”

 “Sure.” I said chuckling.

"Guess What?" I asked her.

"What?" She replied. "My dad is coming home!"

"Really? I'm so happy for you!"

"Thanks."

"My mom wants me. I gotta go!"

When I was done I went downstairs with a duffle bag and into the kitchen. My mom came up to me.

“What are you carrying a body in there?” She joked while grabbing the bag from me.

 “No.” I chuckled.

“Mom, can I have a sleep over at Lea’s house?”

“Sure but do you want me to drive you?”

“No thanks.” I said grabbing a bag of popcorn from the cabinet.

“What is that for?” She asked.

“She doesn’t have popcorn.” I laughed as I said that.

“Oh!” She said chuckling.

“Well have fun sweetie.”

“I will thanks mom I’ll be back tomorrow.” I said as I hugged and kissed her.

I headed out the door and started walking towards her house. I was there in about 10 minutes.

“Hi Abby!” She yelled as I was about to knock on the door.

“Come in.” She said pulling me inside.

When I got inside Lea’s mother Dana came up to me.

“Hi, Abby it’s been a while since you two had a sleepover.” She said smiling.

“I made bon bons!” She said holding out a huge plate of them.

I grabbed one and I was about to take a bite then Lea called me to come upstairs.

I ran upstairs and into her room. Taylor Lautner posters were covering her walls.                                                     I never did know what the color of her wall was because she had so many posters on them. Lea was crazy for Taylor. I never really liked any famous guy they all know that there cute so that makes them not attractive.

I sat down in her bubble chair and took a bite of my bon bon. To my horror I recognized the same clogged feeling in my throat I couldn’t get her to look at me so I grabbed the pillow from under me and threw it at her as hard as I could.

She quickly turned around.

“HEY!” She yelled laughing.

When she saw me her smile faded away and her eyes got huge. I was holding my throat. This time it was worse I could barely move. My lips were swelling up I had hives on my arms. I pointed at my dumped out duffle bag. Luckily she picked up the needle just in time, ran over and stabbed it into my leg. I collapsed onto the floor. I started to breathe.

“Thank you!” I said out of breath.

“Are you all right? Should I go get my mom?” She asked worried.

“No, I’m fine.” I said.

“Gosh that was so scary.” I said with widened eyes.

“Scary for you? That traumatized me. I will have nightmares for the rest of my life that you were careless and left your needle laying somewhere out of reach. Then there is no body to help you and you die.”

I rolled on the floor laughing at her wild imagination. She looked crushed.

“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to laugh it’s just somebody will always be around. Whether it is a stranger or someone I know.”

“It’s ok.” She said smiling.

“It just really scared me.” She said putting her hand on her chest.

“So your mom puts peanut butter in her bon bons.” I asked.

“I guess so. She said she puts a secret ingredient in her bon bons but she never told me what it was. I guess now I know.” She said.

“So you want to take that out of your leg now?” She asked me.

“What!” I shouted as I looked down.

“Ha-Ha made you look!” She said laughing.

I laughed too.

“You got me! Maybe it would be best that we tell your mom about my allergic reaction. What do you think?”

“Yeah defiantly!” She said shaking her head up and down.

“Alright let’s go.” I said helping her up off the floor.

We went down stairs.

“Hey mom!” Lea yelled as we went into the kitchen.

“In here hunny.” She replied.

“Mom I forgot to tell you that Abby is allergic to peanuts.”

“Oh no.” She said gasping.

“She ate a bite and collapsed on the floor choking.” Lea said.

“Oh my gosh I am so sorry are you alright?” She asked looking at me.

“I’m fine she saved me!” I said pointing at Lea.

Lea blushed.

“Yeah I guess I did.”

“That’s great! Are you sure you are alright?” She asked me looking worried once again.

“Yeah I’m fine now it was just scary.”

“Ok.” She said calming down.

“Well we’re gonna go back upstairs now ok mom?” Lea said.

I smiled at Lea’s mom and went upstairs with Lea.

When we got up there we had a pillow fight. We listened to paramore. I popped the bag of popcorn in the microwave that was in her room. Then we watched Gold diggers we held on tight to each other when Ray was chasing Jody.

We squealed when he grabbed her. It was fun though. After it was over I turned off her TV and then we went to sleep. That night I thought of how it was weird that Lea’s mother put peanut butter in her bon bons. That’s crazy who does that? I thought. I don’t know am I being unsensible? I thought as I closed my eyes and went to sleep.
