"HAHAAA, just look at her."

"She's such a b**ch."

"Ugly cow."

"STALKER."

Those were the shrieks when Emenia walked past, avoiding all eye contact. She didn't have to see who the people were, she could tell. The 'Populars.' They thought they were everything and loved trying to put people down. "Do I care?" Emenia asked herself. The answer was yes. She cared very much. She lived with a fake smile on her face everyday. Her brother was always there for her. He was always there. He always smiled. He.......

"Excuse me, WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING YOUNG LADY?" a voice interrupted her thoughts.

It was her teacher. Her 'amazing, wonderful, understanding' teacher who was going to let her off for being late and understand that she was 'accidently' going the opposite direction instead of going to class. "Dream on." She thought to herself. "Nobody understands me."

She always cut class. She thought there was no point to it. Before things changed, everyone said she was a bright girl with a spark. She didn't know where 'that spark' went. She used to have confidence. She used to not care about what anyone thought. "Funny how things change," she thought to herself, while reluctantly making her way into the classroom.

Everyone sneered at her. Especially Miya. Miya was the queen bee of the school. To everyone she was 'the bees knees.' Everyone loved her. She was the prettiest blonde in the school. Her mum and dad treated her like their princess and EVERYONE wanted to be like her and be friends with her. Most popular and richest girl. To Emenia, she was horrible.

As she wandered through the classroom, there was only one seat left. That seat just happened to be next to Miya. "Great. This is going to be a fun lesson." She believed.

"WHY WERE YOU CUTTING CLASS AGAIN MISS WANDERSANIAN? DETENTION!" Mrs Calabo boomed, in her loud voice. Emenia didn't answer. She didn't need to. Her teacher knew. Miya knew. Everybody knew. Everyone stopped laughing at her. It all went quiet. It was like they felt sorry for her. Nobody ever called her 'Wandersanian.'  "Why did she bother saying that?" Emenia questioned in her head. It just reminded her of things she didn't need to remember. She got passed the detention slip. It was for tomorrow.

"Anyway, class. We're starting a new project. I'm going to pair you up. We're doing a project about getting to know the other person and presenting it in a few months. That is why, I'm not going to pair you up with your friends. It's about getting to know someone you don't necessarily know." Mrs Calabo carried on.

Everyone groaned. Another one of Mrs 'stupid' Calabo's projects. They never worked. They were terrible and no one learnt a thing from them. While scanning the classroom, Mrs Calabo noted down the partners on the board:

Rose and kaya

Seena and blair

Neena and dorothy

.....

Emenia looked at the board. Her name was obviously going to be last. It was always last. Nobody liked her. "Oh please say it's not her. Please say it's not her," she silently pleaded.

"And last but not least," Mrs Calabo said. "Miya and Emenia."

"Ugh." Emenia died a little instead, while everyone burst into fits of laughter.

"These months are going to be very long," she believed. But she never thought they would end up to be quite so strange.
