"Shay-"

"Get out!" I screamed.

He huffed and opened the door.

"You're not the girl I fell in love with"

"Really? I'm not? Well fine, Isaac. We're done. Congratulations you got Allison"

"Shay this isn't you talking it's-"

"Go!"

He angrily stepped out of the car and slammed the door shut again.

I rested my head against the seat and took deep breaths.

I could feel my heart rate spiralling out of control.

"Find something that pulls you back. That one thing that can bring you back" my mother's voice rang in my head.

Isaac was the thing that brought me back.

I've lost him.

I don't have anyone.

My phone buzzing by my ear was what brought me out of my deep sleep.

"Hello?"

"Shay. Where are you?" Lydia asked.

"Um-" I sat up and looked around. I was parked in a parking lot. Somewhere. "I don't actually know"

"Can you get to the school?" She asked.

School?

What time is it?

I sighed. "Yeah, I guess"

"Great. See you soon"

I hung up and started up the car. Luckily, I spotted the signs directing me back to the school and got there in ten minutes.

Lydia had text me seconds ago saying her and Stiles were heading to Morrell's office.

"Are you here for Ms. Morrell?" I asked a girl who was sat waiting.

"No, I thought this was gym class" she sassed.

"Sweetheart, we're not in the mood for funny" I heard Lydia say from behind me. "Do you know where she is?"

"If I did, I wouldn't be waiting here for 20 minutes. So how about you three back out the door and wait your turn?"

"We're not here for a session" Lydia said.

"Well, I am. And I've got some serious issues to work on" the girl replied.

"Hey, wait, wait. You're Danielle.
You're Heather's best friend" Stiles said.

"I was Heather's best friend. We've been working on that issue three times a week" Danielle answered.

"Hold on, did you say Ms. Morrell's 20 minutes late?" I asked.

She nodded. "And I don't know why either. She's always on time"

"I was seeing her at the beginning of the semester. She was never late" Lydia added.

"Then she's not late" Stiles started.

"She's missing" I finished.

"What if we're not the only ones who think she knows something?" Lydia said.

I looked over at her desks. "Then I want to know what she knows"

Stiles and I both moved forwards and started pulling open draws.

"What are you doing?" Danielle asked.

"Trying to find her" Stiles replied like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
