Hetty suggested deeks take her to her apartment and once kensi was far enough away hetty grabbed deeks and pulled him to the side "Mr deeks your partner needs you, stay with her, I don't expect to see either of you for a week" hetty looked up at deeks " of course hetty I wasn't planning on leaving her like this" he tried to smile and followed his partner out the door
The car ride was silent the only thing they heard were kensi's sniffles every now and then and sound of a car passing then every once and a while. When they got to kensi's apartment she turned to him "thank you" she looked down not looking him in the eyes he looked at her with concern "let's get you inside and into some clean clothes" he forced a smile as she glanced up at him only to continue looking at her hands right after. She got out of the car and leaned against the door to stop her self from falling. Deeks rushed to her side and helped her up "hey what's wrong" kensi looked at him "I just haven't eaten any real food in a while I'm kinda dizzy" Deeks helped her up the stairs and into her apartment. "you should take a shower and I'll make you some breakfast" Deeks sat her on the couch "It's 3am deeks" kensi tried to lay down but in realizing it hurt to bad she settled for leaning on the arm "kens you need food and you need a shower, I know you need sleep too but please" he looked at her with so much care in his eyes she felt as if she had to do what he was asking. "ok, can you start the shower while I get something to sleep in" she asked trying to smile but ending up just looking at him "of course" he helped her into the bedroom
While kensi was in the shower deeks started some pancakes and eggs, then went to kensi's room. The shower was still running so he thought he would still have time to make them some cupcakes. As he started to walk out he heard the sound of crying, he walked towards the bathroom door and listened... It was kensi his heart broke and he slid down the door with his knees to his chest and stared into the darkness of her room. He knew it was his fault this happened, he loved his partner more than anything on this world and if he had known this was going to happen he would have done anything to stop it. After about 10 minutes of just listening to kensi cry the shower turned off and kensi's sobs turned into sniffles and deeks got up to finish the breakfast.
Kensi walked into the kitchen with a t-shirt and some pajama shorts and she looked embarrassed and that's when deeks noticed her legs, they were bruised beyond belief they had gashes and burns on them. Deeks looked into her red puffy eyes and walked towards her "did they do this to you" he whispered holding back tears kensi just nodded and looked down at her feet "I didnt want you to see them, it just hurt to bad to but on sweats" she didn't look up from her feet but deeks didn't take his eyes off her "why wouldn't you want me to see" he asked her hoping she hadn't rebuilt all the walls he had worked so hard to knock down months before "I just didn't want you to feel guilty" she looked at deeks now who had tears in his eyes "I know you think this is your fault" she grabbed his hands "it not deeks you had no control over this" tears fell from kensi's eyes " Kens" he said as he pulled her into his chest "I missed you" he whispered into her hair as he kissed her on the top of the head as a single tear fell from his own eyes.
