Now that Neville had brought Harry up, I could barely stop thinking about my brother.

He casually briefed me on the whole Horcrux-thing when I last saw him. And while I insisted on joining them, Harry was set on not having me come.

For reasons like "it's too dangerous," or "you're going to get yourself killed." To which I retorted with a "And you won't?"

I decided to drop the subject at the time, hoping to bring it up the next morning before they were supposed to leave. I simply didn't feel like wasting our first hours reunited with an argument.

Turns out, while I missed out on the chance to talk to him about it in greater detail, at least we enjoyed ourselves before everything went to shit. So, I'm grateful for that, at least.

All I could really do was hope whoever sent that letter to Wren, also sent one to Harry.

I had enough time to think about all of it during dinner, seeing as Wren was sat with Luna, and Draco and I were supposed to hate each other, I didn't think I had anyone else to spend time with, anyway.

"You alright, Y/n Potter?" My head shot up at the words, looking right at Blaise who sat opposite of me now. His voice had a hint of amusement in it, mocking me sarcastically.

I thought that bridge burned a long time ago.

"Doing splendid, Zabini," I retorted with a forced huff, tilting my head while I studied his face, watching his smirk turn into an amused grin.

"Thought so," was all he said to that. I seemed to make it a little too obvious that I wasn't doing splendid, at all. "Y'know, can't blame you for being worried about your brother," He shrugged casually just after shovelling another bite into his mouth.

I scoffed, turning my head at the sight, my eyes falling onto the staff table at the front. "How would you know I'm concerned about my brother?" When my eyes fell on the Carrow's, I decided Blaise's full mouth was still a more pleasant sight, and I turned towards him again as the words left my mouth.

He shook his head, still clearly amused by the whole conversation. This time, he swallowed before he spoke.

"Well, you'd be a bloody horrible sister if you weren't," He snickered, and my eyebrows raised. "Don't tell them I said that, though."

"Your secret's safe with me." A singular laugh escaped my lips, accompanying my words, and he nodded, pleased with my statement before his full attention was on the meal in front of him again.

Maybe being friends was still on the table, then. Merlin knows I could use some; now that nobody really knew how to feel about Harry Potter's sister anymore.

With Gryffindors apparently thinking I betrayed Harry, and Slytherins trying to kiss death eater ass; which definitely didn't make them want to associate themselves more with me, I thought maybe I'd take my chances with a Hufflepuff, perhaps. Or a Ravenclaw.

I shook my head at my thoughts, trying to shake them off as my gaze flickered through the hall once more.

My eyes had caught Draco's numerous times already, and this one was no exception. We still hadn't talked, and I knew he was dying to do just that.

And even though I wasn't particularly looking forward to it, I figured after risking his life for me, the least I owed him was honesty.

So, when I made my way out of the great hall to get back outside, I didn't have to turn around to know it was Draco who followed me outside just moments later.

His steps echoed along the halls; they were loud against the stone floor, quite a bit of force in each step.

I left the castle through one of the many side doors, immediately noticing the dark clouds that had formed right on top of us. Neville did say it would rain soon.
