"mmm~ muffin man, is that you??"

i said half awake.

"muffin man? hey (Y/n) are you okay, did the monkey eat your brain? Not like you had one to begin with"

I rubbed my eyes and sat on the ground.

"Hmm? What time is it?"

I said with a morning voice.

"06:33"

"WHAT?! THATS TO EARL- wait... DID YOU JUST CALL ME BRAINLESS?!!"

He chuckled.

"That took some time"

I wanted to kill him- but with kindness of course.

"Now let's get to work!"

I looked at him with a confused look.

"Work? What work?"

"Come with me if you want to know"

He went out of the treehouse while I just followed him.

"Hey Senku, where are Yuzuriha and Taiju?"

He looked down.

"They will come soon enough"

'Is he sad- don't tell me that he's sad because they're going to break free any time-'

"Don't worry Senku!! It will be alright!"

He stopped and turned my way.

"Worried?! Oh please, I am one hundred percent sure that they're alive! We just need to be patient"

I smiled at him, what made him turn a little red.
He turned around and started walking again.

We arrived at a cave after walking for a while.

"So, why are we here?"

I asked him.

"Glad you asked, we're here for one thing!"

Suddenly a shock went trough my whole body.
I ran to Senku, grabbed him and carried him outside.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!"

I put him down and explain why I did that.

"So you smelled danger?"

He asked with a confused face.

"Yes yes!! It smelled like...bats"

"That's the whole point you idiot, we're here for the bats"

'Wait- did I just mess up"

"*sigh* don't worry about it, we can go back inside, besides I'm pretty impressed that you could carry me"

He smiled at me.
This time, he made me blush...

We walked inside again and grabbed a little bit of the bat fluid.

"NO THAT'S NOT TRUE!!"

I yelled at Senku.

"YES IT IS!!"

He yelled back.

"UGH NO! PINEAPPLES SHOULDN'T BE ON PIZZA!!!"

"YES THEY HAVE TOO!! IT MAKES IT DELICIOUS!!"

I gave him a death glare.

"No they shouldn't"

I could see chills running down his spine.

"N-no no! T-they definitely shouldn't..."

I smirked.

"Good job shorty!"

"But I'm still taller than you"

I chuckled.

"Senku! Could we go watch the stars?"

"Sure, Let's go"

I smiled and followed him to the roof.
We laid down and looked up to the stars.

"Aren't the stars pretty (Y/n)?"

"Yeah they are, just like you Senku"

He turned to me as fast as possible.

"Y-you t-think I-I'm p-p-pretty?"

'Did I break him?'

"Yes I think you do! But you are different than the stars..."

"R-really? What different?"

"The stars are high in the sky, and you are just a shorty"

I could feel his mood change.

"What did you say?! Wait until I torture you!"

I laughed.

"What could you possibly do-"

He tickled me what made me laugh really hard.

"HAHAHA P-P-PLEASE S-STOP"

"Not until you take it back!"

"NEVER!!"

I could feel tears coming down my cheeks.

"S-SENKU, P-PLEASE STOP, YOU'VE TORTURED ME ENOUGH!!"

"Just a little bit more!"

He finally stopped after a while.

"That was fun! We should do it again!"

He said while smirking.

"NO WE SHOULD NOT!!"

"Kukuku, let's head to bed, we have work for tomorrow"

"Aw man! Again?"

"We just started (Y/n). And now you can finally show your science skills"
