Senku's POV

"(Y/n), please listen, he's not who you think he is-"

"Stop accusing my best friend Senku!"

She looked down.

"I thought you where different..."

She turned around and started running.

"D-different..."
I mumbled.

My eyes started to water up, but I didn't let a tear escape.

'Why did I get upset about the words that she said, normally I wouldn't care'

I felt a hand touch my elbow.

"Are you okay Senku?"

I turned around and saw Taiju.

I took a deep breath.

"Yeah... hey Taiju, you know how to make the fluid, right?"

"I do!"

"Then make it without me, I'm going after (Y/n), it's dangerous to be alone in those woods"

"Okay then! Be careful!"
He said and patted my shoulder. (Okay but is that even a thing?😭)

(Y/n) POV

"Damn it! You idiot!!"

I was running towards the cave with tears in my eyes.

"Why did i say those words! I wasn't supposed to act like that"

I stop when I heard a weird noise.

'What was that'

I wiped my tears and started looking around.

*creak* *creak*

"It isn't safe...I have no weapons to defend myself if it's a lion or another big animal"

I started running, but this time I was faster then usual.
A lion suddenly appeared infront of me.

"Great! Just my luck"

I grabbed a big, thick and sharp stick and pointed it at the lion.

"(Y/N)!! BE CAREFUL ITS A LION!! IT CAN RIP YOU APART WITHIN SECONDS!!"

I turned around where I saw Senku running towards me.

'He- WHAT IS HE DOING HERE?!'

"STAY BACK SENKU! I CAN HANDLE THI-"

He jumped on top of me what made me release the stick.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING , YOU IDIOT!!"
He held his hand to my mouth.

The lion came a little closer to us.

"We have to stay little!"
He answered.

"No you idiot!! We have to look bigger! That's not a bear you know!"

He stood up and rubbed the back of his neck.

"You're right..."
He said while giving me an awkward smile.

Senku's POV

"I have to protect her, no matter what!"

"You do realise that you said that up loud...right?"
She asked.

"I did?!"

I felt my cheeks heat up a bit.

"Eh... I'm still here you know"

Me and (Y/n) turned to the sound.

"Did that lion just talk?!?!"
(Y/n) said surprised.

I chuckled.

"Well you don't see this everyday"

The lion ran towards me and jumped on top of.

"And you can't see this everyday"
(Y/n) laughed.

"H-h-HELP MEE"

I heard her laugh even harder.
After a whew seconds of laughing She grabbed the stick from the ground, ran towards the lion and smacked the lion in its head and The lion fell on me.

"I can't breathe- get this lion off of me!"

She ran to me and kicked the lion off of me.
She stook out her hand without looking at me.

I smiled and grabbed her hand, and she pulled me up.

"Thank-"

She gave me a tight hug to shut me up.

"I'm sorry Senku, I should've been nicer to you... i just got mad when you said that tsukasa was a murderer"

I sighed and hugged her back.

"I'm just happy that you're alright"

"Eh- senku? Can you let go now?"

I didn't listen to her and kept hugging her.

"I'm sorry..."
I said in a cracked voice.

'Am I going to cry... but why?'

"*sigh* Senku, sometimes you act like a 8 year old kid..."

"Hmm..."

'She's right, I'm really acting like a kid that had a nightmare... a nightmare of losing there lover'

I heard (Y/n) chuckle.

"You're my kid"
She said.

I looked up to her face.
And putted my thumb and index finger on her chin and came closer.

"Okay, then you're my mommy..."
