I don't love starting a new story off with a note, especially a short story, however there are a few things I wanted to share before you read this story. This story wouldn't have seen the light of day without these few things!
This story was originally inspired from a prompt I read in a Sotus Writting Contest. Unfortunately because I am incapable of controlling my word count I was unable to enter, but I thought the idea was really good! I have not read all the entries yet because I didn't want to be influenced by others ideas too much when writing my own short stories, but I plan on going back and reading them all once I am done!
On top of that I really enjoyed the prompts that they shared for the contest. So even though I couldn't join the contest I reached out and got permission to use the prompts for my own short stories and am happy to have a chance to share them with everyone!
