Chapter Two: Assignment

"WHAT!"

we yelled in union. "You both heard me..." Professor Sycamore said crossing his arms. This is so not fair! The Professor gave us all an assignment to do and we have to work in partners. Usually Clemont will be the one sitting next to me and even though everyone says he's a nerd and everything I'm fine with him cause he's scientists well an inventor but still that is so amazing! Anyways back to the topic...so since usually I sit next to him he would be my partner. But his little sister is sick and his dad has to work so he hasn't been coming in for some time. But I really had my hopes up that he would today. But turns out I'm wrong... he isn't here and I have to pair up with miss Top Student...!

I so don't want to be with her. First because she going to complain and I know I'm right about that since she's doing it right now and second because of what happened yesterday at that really fancy restaurant that I didn't bother reading the name for. Why I didn't bother with reading it well... it's a waste of time!

Oh my sorry life. Why did it have to be her out of the twenty-eight students. I mean I could have been paired up with that green hair girl...wait what's her name again...oh right Mallow or even Hot-headed Misty or May there was Paul and Gary and Gla- ... but why her! "Serena since both of you don't have a partner to work with you two will have to pair up for this assignment..." Professor Sycamore is still trying to escape from Serena's complains. "But I can work alone I don't need someone like him helping me!" she yells and I swear it's getting annoying. Like it's not like I want to be paired up with her. "Jeez shut up you're so loud..." groans Kiawe from the back of the class room who obviously has been trying to sleep in all this noise. But then again I guess he's right ever since we found out we will be partners for this Serena hasn't stopped talking "When is this due for Professor?" I question. "Well since you have a lot to do in this it will be by the end of this month..." He answers smiling. Well since it's the 15th today we have fifteen more days. "I can do it alone Professor..." Serena says again. "Look Serena I know how you're really good and I'm not saying you can't work on your own. It's just that you will have to create a whole presentation which should include at least thirteen detailed pages it will become really difficult for you to work alone..." he explains and I think she is finally giving up. "Now if you both excuse me I have to get the instructions sheet for the whole class." and he quickly leaves. 

I look over to Serena who is glaring at me as if I'm personally responsible for all this. "Don't look at me like that..." I tell her sternly. I may have agreed to this but I haven't forgotten anything about what she said. "We're not doing the work at my house..." She looks away and I'm about to go against that but she beats me to it. "I don't want you coming into my house." Ugh! Why... "Fine...meet me after school..." and I leave. I said that I never wanted to see her apparently I'm wrong. The rest of the day is boring even at lunch there's nothing fun to do. After escaping all the fan girls that have been following me around I finally get to be alone. "Here you go buddy" I give Pikachu a pack of ketchup after opening it for him. Just then the bell rings and I make my way to math.

It's currently 2:55 and the time is going really slowly. The bell that suppose to tell me I can go home goes at exactly three but it's apparently taking it's time. "Hey Ash can I copy the last question please..." May asks who is sitting next to me. I nod slowly and slide my book over to her. "So what happened...?" She questions while writing in her book. "Nothing...just bored" I whisper. Professor Juniper may look like she's super nice and everything but the minute you get on her nerves or disturb her lessons it's game over for you. She looks in our direction and walks up us. "What's going on? Ash why aren't you doing your work?" She question. And I tell her I've done it all. "May wanted to see the last question so I gave her my book..." she looks at May who nods and at the same time the bell rings. "Thanks Ash..." May says as I put my book in my bag and I head towards the entrance where I'm suppose to meet Serena.
