My journey in writing this story was difficult. Naroon iyong minsan panghihinaan ako ng loob dahil walang nagbabasa, siguro nga kahit ngayon wala pa ring nagbabasa. But I said to myself that, I'm writing not for the numbers of reads, I'm writing because I have my own different purpose.
I wrote this story because I want to inspire people, I want to touch the very heart of who's reading. I wrote this story to acknowledge the hardworks of the leaders of our country.
I wrote this story, clearly not to indicate any negative effects towards a particular thing. But to obviously empower Filipinos and Filipinas out there. I'm into empowering Filipinas din kaya I offer this story for all those Gabriela Silang and Maria Clara's out there. C'mon everyone let us cut the crap about gender stereotyping. Hindi po sa kasarian nasusukat ang kakayahan ng isang tao, at ipinakita po ito ni Eurydice.
At sana naman kahit sa storyang ito ay may natutunan kayo. Tungkol sa pagmamahal sa sarili nating bansa at sa paggalang at pagtingin ng pantay sa mga babae. At since, involve po ang rebels sa storyang ito. Hindi ko po talaga mapigilang ilabas ang sarili kong opinyon para doon. Don't you think po ba na isang kahangalan ang nangyayari? I mean, iisang lahi lang ang pinagmulan nating lahat pero hindi po tayo nagkakaisa. But on the other hand, ay ayaw ko naman pong maging bias. Kaya pinakita ko rin sa story ang side ng mga rebelde, may sarili silang rason at prinsipyo. We have no right to judge them or anyone.
And to make things clear lang, 'yong mga karanasan ng mga rebelde na ibinahagi ko sa nobelang ito ay talagang totoo po 'yon. Inspired po s'ya sa testimony ng isang babaeng sundalo na na-recruit po noon ng mga teroristang grupo.
At muli, uulitin ko po iyong mga sinabi ko sa mga nakaraang chapters. EVERYTHING IS FICTIONAL! From characters to places and to opinions! Iyong mga aral at realizations lang po ang hindi.
Ginawa ko ang lahat ng makakaya ko para hindi maging cliché ang storyang ito, at para hindi rin ito maging empty shell lang. Kaya sana naman ay may kabuluhan ang storyang ito para sa inyo. Let's look on the bright side of things okay?
Bilang isang manunulat ay wala akong ibang hangad kundi ang magsulat ng mga nobela na hahaplos sa puso ng bawat mambabasa. Isang nobela na kapupulutan ng aral at nakaka-inspire.
A novel that could make a person realize about the reality of life. And I hope naibigay ko iyon sa nobelang ito :›
