The Thrill of Falling

As I fall through the clouds

My arms reach up

the white wisps

Swirl, speeding by

Whipping like the fabric of my skirt

Cloaking like a wraith

Concealing

My heart hangs in the air

Above, caught in suspense

as a parachute above my head.

Will I hit a cloud, or will I hit the ground?
