"Jun! Once he is fully sedated bring him to the interrogation room. We need to find out what he knows as soon as possible."
Jun jolted at the disturbance of the silence and muttered a respectful "Yes sir." It had taken three men to restrain Peeta. Even in his weakened state he was incredibly strong, motivated by the sole purpose of saving Katniss. If only he knew she wasn't here this would be so much easier he mused. After all, it's much easier to interrogate someone who is awake. Jun's dainty fingers brushed over Peeta's forehead, securing the monitors and checking for a fever. Over the past week, his surface wounds had healed. Jun had been watching over him, monitoring his vitals and sedating him when necessary. He unplugged his morphling drip, knowing he would awake within the next hour.
I hope he doesn't need much encouragement to answer Crucio's questions he pondered. That was the part of his job he hated the most. Being the highest up in president Snow's medical staff often had him doing unpleasant tasks. His mother must have never imagined this when she forced him through medical school. He chuckled slightly at the irony, someone trained to save lives spent their time destroying them. Granted, he kept them alive long enough for Crucio to get what he needed out of them, but he only prolonged their suffering.
Jun's black painted fingernails tapped rhythmically against his tablet as he waited for the anesthetic to wear off. Once Peeta started to toss and turn in his bed, Jun had him wheeled into the operating room and ordered the avoxes to bring him the necessary supplies. Knowing how impatient Crucio was, he got right to work, organizing the necessary vials and syringes, tilting the bed so Peeta was sitting up, and being sure to restrain him.
Crucio sauntered into the room, slamming the door aside. His coffee had been cold, two avoxes had tried to escape, and he didn't have the patience to deal with this lovesick rebel who kept causing commotions. he didn't know all of Snow's plans for the boy, only that today would be his primary interrogation to glean whatever information they could about the rebels. He wasn't going to go easy on the boy. Crucio craved control and he planned on crushing anyone who got in his way. After training all his life hoping to gain a spot in the games, he would have given anything for the opportunity that Peeta had. The opportunity to bring honor and glory to his district and to win the favor of the capital. He would have never just thrown it all away and joined a rebellion. After all, the capital had only shown them kindness and offered them protection so why would anyone in their right mind try to fight the system that had saved them all? Yeah, he definitely wasn't going to take it easy on the kid.
