XI.

She kept sobbing silently and all I could do was to listen.

I suddenly thought what if Jaemin does the same. I wondered how will I react to that situation.

Maybe I'd get devastated, too.

"Am I bring selfish, y/n? Should I just give him the freedom he wants?" She asked softly.

I offered her some water first before answering her question.

"Do you know the reason why he's breaking up with you?" I asked.

She shook her head.

"No. The only reason I know is that he probably fell out of love." She smiled sadly.

"I'm sorry for crying like this." She said.

"Your feelings are valid so its okay for you to cry." I said.

"I don't know a lot about relationships, but I think you have to hear him out this time." I said.

"I don't promise anything but I'll try."

"You'll be the bravest girl I'd know if you try." I said and she nodded.

I took her a cab and I went straight at home.

The entire ride home was quiet. I was thinking what if Jaemin gets tired one day? What if he eventually falls out of love with me too?

"Stop being pessimist, y/n. Nothing like that will happen." I mumbled to myself.

Nothing like that.

"Congratulations, team! The investors liked your proposal. I am so proud if each one of you." Our manager said as she initiated a toast.

I smiled from ear to ear.

We drank the wine that one of my co-trainees brought and continued our chat.

"What's your plan now that your training is done?" She asked as we sat down back on our seats.

"Y/n, are you gonna be back in Korea to finish your studies?"

I nodded and smiled brightly.

"Yes. I'll be home together with my parents next week." I said enthusiastically.

"Good for you! You've spent some time juggling school while training so you really deserve some rest." Macy said as she held on my arm.

"You, too. I mean all of us deserves a good rest." I said.

I stood and bowed in front of everyone and expressed how thankful I am for them.

"Thank you for taking care of me while I'm here. I really appreciate all of your kindness and understanding." I said as my eyes kinda watered.

I was just too happy to have them while I was here.

"Awe~ Don't cry our youngest member of the familyyy." Our manager went to hug me.

"Manager! I'm not crying tho." I pouted and they laughed.

We kinda had too much wine and once I felt a bit dizzy, I decided to leave the party.

"Hey. We'll drive you home so stay seated there." Macy said but I shook my head.

"Aye! I'm okaaay. I can drive— What am I saying? I don't even have a car! I mean I can take a cab home. I live just near~!" I said while chuckling.

My cheeks were hella burning and I actually think I'm kinda drunk.

I couldn't remember how, but I managed to get out of the resto bar to take a cab when someone grabbed my arm.
