Not a Resolution

There's things that are gone
and things that aren't,
but this year
is a different start.

Failures are not
without an important part
of the rest of our lives;
knowledge it imparts.

This isn't a resolution
because they fall apart,
knowing motivation is an ocean
and one may need to restart.

If you want to do something
and you know in your heart
that it is your destiny
then claim your art.
