I'm sitting in a hospital staring at the wall. Doing nothing but waiting. I've been waiting for days. Maybe even weeks. All I'm doing is waiting... I almost can't take this anymore but I know I have to fight through it. I have to be here for him because he would be there for me. He wouldn't give up on me. I know he wouldn't so I can't give up on him. He is all I want and everything I need.

"Mr. Hemmings?" A nurse approaches me. "You can visit him now if you'd like."

I stand up and walk to his room. I stop breathing when I see him sleeping peacefully in his hospital bed. Like a broken angel. My broken angel. I've seen him plenty of times but whenever I come back again it's like I'm being stabbed. I can barely stand to look at him. He's there but he's not awake and not in my arms where he belongs. Michael Clifford. My love and life is asleep and the doctors say he won't be waking up any time soon. He's alive but he's just... stuck.

Yup, first chapter is like the introduction basically. Short and sweet. Chapters will get longer of course. Hope this is a good start. I have some wild ideas for this story! (Song: All I Want by Kodaline)
