CHAPTER 2: HAVE YOU HEARD?

"Hey Tiana!" I said to the Kaffeteria Lady

"Hello Alex and Olivia ,well done on that compitision today." Said Tiana

"Hey Alex,Olivia,were going to the beach after school for a swim you can join us if you want!" said Jace comeing in from the kaffeteria doors

"Sure why not?" I said

"Alex,Oliv coach John said we have practise today after school!" Said Roy excited

"Really I thaught he canceled the practise?" I asked

"No he said that you guys and us need big practise before the next compitision!" Jace replied

"Why werent you in science" asked Kayli changing the subject

"We went to see coach John to find out about our next practise so we figured we could skip class!" Roy said

"You guys wont believe what im about to tell you!" I said

"Is this gonna be bad news?" Olivia asked "Yeah guess what my dad ,signed my step sisters into this school!" I said

"Your kidding me Jamie and Jenica!! Thats it Jamie is doing this to ruin your school year,instead we'll make it the best year.!" Said Kayli

I caught Kate and Roy staring at each other but just chose to ignore them

"Okay guys so we want you to meet Nicholas! The new kid in school." Olivia said pointing to Nicholas

"I told him that he could come tommorow so we could test his surfing skills he used to surf back in Australia." I said to them

"Sure!" said Jace

Roy was about to protest but the bell rang

"Hey Kate how's your horse doing!" I said spotting Kate at her locker after the bell rang for the end of the day

"Not good, he doesnt want to eat? Then there's Crystal she and Ronald keeps fighting!" Said Kate

"How is the royal stables?" Kayli asked

"There good!" Said Kate

"Alex,its time to go to the beach. Remember we need to practise for the upcoming surf compitision!" Roy called

"Sure Roy,meet you at the beach about 1:00pm,come Oliv" i said laughing

(Olivia and Jace are dating)(meanwhile me and Roy)

"Hey Alex is it just me or is Kate acting weird I mean she hardly talked to you today and she keeps on talking to Roy?" Olivia said walking with me towards the locker room to get changed into our surf team uniforms

"I don't know I mean Roy would tell me if something was going on wouldn't he?" I said unsure

"Probably!" She said sarcastic

We dressed quickly to be at the beach before the boys

"We better win them there this time huh!" I told Olivia

"A duh!" She said picking up her bags

I grabbed my bag and started heading to where Olivia was waiting at the locker room door

"So your birthday's coming up and what do you think on doing?" Olivia started talking

"I don't know?" I said sighing

"You have to have a huge party,your turning 16 thats like the great thing of being a teenager!" Olivia said

"I know I know it's just that I'm not sure if anyone will come!" I said

"Oh please,come on your like one of the most popular girls in the school who wouldn't!" Olivia said

"See you there's Jace I wanna go say hi!" She zaid winking and running of to Jace

I kept on walking

"Alex, are you okay?" Roy asked me while I was walking of to the beach

"Yeah sure,lots of stuff is going on in my mind right now,i really do miss my mother thaugh" i said sighing

"Don't worry. It'll be fine!" Roy said stopping me

I knew I didn't want to hear him say 'it'll be fine' he never ever gave his attention to my problems and I didn't want him to, he didn't handle it really well

"Thanks, Roy your always there for me!" I said placing a fake smile on my face

"Thats why I'm your boyfriend!" he said teasing me

Giving me a hug was just the right thing for me..

Now I had something else to focus on. Practise just better be worth it.
