Lauren sat in a slightly better mood than she had been as of recent just drawing aimlessly upon the book Camila had gifted her for Christmas, she was getting pretty good by all accounts however her art seemed to be a little more abstract than that of her bosses.. she liked to use every colour she had and fill every gap on the page, as if the blank spaces meant it to be incomplete..

She'd been there for a few hours after Camila had ventured out on a random business meeting leaving her bored with nothing to do.. she didn't mind however, she had gotten pretty good at zoning out and was enjoying the new vibe that flood the floor.. the girls left her alone.. didn't even speak in her direction, it was nice

One girl however walked to sit directly by her side unnoticed for a moment until the leather jacket she was wearing brushed against Lauren's arm shocking her into a frenzy as her eyes lift to meet her gaze, it was the same girl that had noticed her very subtle hand movements the day before.. the movements nobody else had saw..

"Shit sorry.. I didn't mean to scare you.."

"You didn't scare me, just the zip.. on your jacket it- don't worry.."

Lauren trailed off quickly returning her hand back down onto the page ignoring the girl as if she wasn't even there before noticing her taking off the jacket, she placed it on the floor beside her feet turning slightly to catch the elders attention

"Not a good texture?"

Lauren's eyes immediately shot up with parted lips, her brain fuzzing as she ran over that comment a thousand times.. it wasn't a normal comment, not one that many would use as an appropriate response to her sudden jerk, the girl recognised the shock silence realising it may have made her a little uncomfortable so she decided to approach the topic in a slightly different way

"My brother he uh.. he doesn't like those metal scour pads.. you know the ones you use to wash dishes?"

"Weird fact, didn't .. ask for it?"

Lauren spoke confused with a very blunt tone still unfamiliar with the notion of the devil models actually being nice to her, she continued her palm on the paper colouring in one of the corners ignoring the innocent huff that fell from the brown haired girl beside her

"I know.. sorry, just.. it was dumb.. I'll leave you alone.."

The girl went to stand but Lauren's brain for the first time ever recognised the social cue.. she felt awkward, like her bluntness had left her with nothing else to say.. if Camila was here right now she'd tell her to communicate.. open up.. and so she did

"Hey wait.. I'm.. sorry? I uh.. I don't like them either.. the feeling on my skin it makes me kind of.. nervous"

Lauren spoke out of the blue carrying on from the conversation the other model had tried to engage her in, she turned back around with a smile bowing her head slightly before settling gently down beside her ivory skin, this time making sure to sit a little further from her stature

"You like soft stuff right? Like silk and fur?"

"Um, yeah.. why- why are you asking me all of these questions?"

The girl smiled back, her eyes honest as she glance out across the room taking a deep breath before returning the gaze to Lauren who almost immediately looked down into her sketch book

"My brother finds these super helpful.. you just put it around your finger and.. well you can fiddle with it.. stops your fingers from getting sore.."

The girl spoke as she hand over a small jelly feeling ring, it was black and had a small line of wire going through the middle, although Lauren was majorly confused she allowed the girl to grab her hand putting the new object around the tip of her middle finger
