Chapter 6

Aria's POV

Yesterday when Nathan left, I couldn't hold back my tears anymore so I broke down in fron of Mr Johson and Sam. He comforted me and Mr Johnson allowed me to take the rest of the day off but I declined cause I couldn't let an egostitical jerk to affect me that much. After a while, I was alright and continued my routine. I didn't told Vi about Nathan because honestly I just wanna forget that we even had an encounter together although I do like Liam. He was so cute and adorable. It was like in those 10 minutes, there was a bond of friendship between us.

Anyways, back to reality I was currently deciding what to wear for the day cause Sam, me and Vi decided to go to ice cream parlour after my shift was done. After observing my closet for 5 more minutes I decided to wear light blue wash jeans with black and white knitted woolen top. I wore my white Converse and left my hair open. After spraying my perfume and applying my lip balm, I was ready to go.

I yelled to Vi; informing her that I am leaving for work but not before taking a cup of coffee and an apple with me. I know not an healthy breakfast since it is an important meal of the day according to my mother.

I truly miss my parents and my little troublemaker and my baby brother Xavier. He is 3 years old. Tomorrow is my birthday so we decided to celebrate it by doing pre birthday ice cream party. Wierd right, well it was Vi's idea. So like an awesome best friend I am, I agreed.

I took my car to the cafe and reached there in 15 minutes because of stupid traffic. Why does people need to use vehicles in such an early morning time. Anyways I put on my apron and kept my belongings in the locker while greeting my co workers. Cafe was not as busy as it usually is; so everything was going on normal pace. I was going to table no 5 to take thier orders when Mr Johnson called me, so I told Sam to attend that table on behalf of me. I went towards Mr Johnson to see him eyeing something. As I went more near towards him, I saw a huge bouquet of white roses with a card placed in the centre. As Mr Johnson saw me approaching he gave me a smile which I returned and said,

"Aria this bouquet is for you. Delivery person told to give it to you also there is a card. I haven't checked yet so that your secret is safe with me."

He playfully told me that causing me to laugh and roll my eyes at him.

"Don't roll your eyes at me young lady!!"

He said in his fake British accent trying to sound intimating keyword here being trying. I laughed at him and later he joined me as well. He went away giving me privacy to check the letter. I quickly took the letter out of the bouquet to read:

Miss Aria Campbell,

I firstly wanna apologise for the words which I used to describe you. I was just worried about Liam and didn't thought about anyone's feelings which was wrong of me. Secondly, Thank you for taking care of Liam. I hope You do forgive me.

At least he had the decency to apologise. And it also seems as if he had personally wrote the letter. I smiled when I saw huge bouquet of my favourite flowers and took it to place near my locker. Rest of the day went by normally. Now it was time to go home and I was removing my apron when my eyes fell on those roses. I quickly removed my apron and went outside to see Sam and Vi were already waiting for me. When they saw me coming towards them they waved at me excitedly but then thier faces turned into confusion looking at the roses in my hand. Vi was the first one to speak,

"Ari I didn't knew you had secret admirer or are you having a boyfriend which only I didn't knew about. How can you do that to your own best friend. I am very much hurt by you. You wounded my heart"

Hearing this Sam and me both rolled our eyes at her. Overdramatic as always Vi!! I began explaining whole Nathan situation to her. When I was done, a frown was etched on her face.

"You mean to say me that the great Nathan Parker personally wrote you an apology letter. From what I have heard that man is cold as stone towards everyone; except his family and friends. It is a big deal as he personally wrote you this letter; not to mention he also sent you these beautiful roses." Vi said.

While I just shrugged my shoulders in response to her cause I have heard and even saw the cocky and arrogant side of him when we were in college. I hate those type of persons who; consider themselves mighty then others. While I was thinking about all these things Sam said,

"Come on guys lets stop talking about Nathan and lets enjoy our celebration afterall Ari is turning 23 tomorrow."

"Alright lets stop this stupid discussion right here and decide the place. So guys where do you say we should go??"

I asked them and they both looked at each other and smiled which looked pretty wierd to me.

"We are going to L&N ice cream parlour" Vi said in an exciting voice.

While my eyes widened cause that is the most expesive ice cream parlour in New York. Not to mention it is having 10 branches all over New York and also you need to wear sophisticated clothes; as rich people such as actors, businessman each go there as thier hangout place. Before I could say anything Sam said,

"Come on Ari we have decided it for a while and you can't spoil our plans. Let's go please."

"Sam I know you guys planned it but lets go to simple ice cream parlour also I am not wearing appropriate clothes to go there. We don't need-" I said hoping they would understand but Vi interrupted me

"Who said we are going right now? We are going at midnight to celebrate your birthday. Please don't say no and as far as clothes are considered we have already planned every thing. You don't need to worry about a thing. Please say yes for us..........Pretty please with a cherry on top"

She said while making puppy dog face with a pout; which she knows I can't resist.

"Okay fine" I said and they both high fived each other and gave me an evil smile.

'What have I got myself into?' I thought.
