Jack's POV

two days have already passed and tomorrow we are going to have the war against kingdom Valentino I'll probably try my best to protect Adeline although she can do it better than me... Her fighting skills are way more better than me and she will probably make us win...

I am walking around in the practice arena while everyone is preparing for tomorrow the sound of swords colliding and soldiers training filled the whole arena atlas has improved a lot he might be able to protect himself but I know he won't have to because Adeline will be doing it herself... They both are so weird... Or maybe I just want them to be a couple that's why I'm thinking like that... But still who knows...

Atlas is practicing with one of the man while Adeline is also monitoring everyone I just want to ensure her safety she'll protect atlas and I'll protect her..... "oh how I hope Isabella was here" I murmured to myself as I remembered Isabella it's been a long time since I last saw her beautiful eyes... Her smile... Her voice....oh I miss her so much
I walked around monitoring everyone
"you want me to invite her?" I heard a familiar voice it was more like a whisper I turned around to see Adeline standing behind me her hands behind her back and her blue eyes staring at me curiously. I felt my blood rushing towards my cheeks and by now I'm probably the color of a tomato

"NO!" I exclaimed as I try to look anywhere but her.She laughed at my state and I knew right now I'm probably looking funny I looked at her blankly although I was dying because of the embarrassment.
"oh come on, don't be embarrassed" she said as she looked at me her eyes were the shape of crescent moon whenever she laughs I cleared my throat and looked at her
"why would I be embarrassed?" I asked as she slowly stopped laughing she looked at me seriously
"but I'm serious I'm going to invite her and her father after the war is over" she said and I had the sudden urge to giggle and jump out of happiness but I controlled it somehow

"go and prepare for the war" I said as she smirked at me and started to walk away as soon as she turned around I started to smile like crazy she suddenly turned back again and looked at me... A devilish smirk appeared on her face
"I saw you!" she exclaimed happily and I smiled at her sometimes I want to protect her from the whole world and sometimes I wanna protect the whole world from her.....

"hey you don't do it like that" I said as I marched toward one of the soldier and helped him

it was already evening now me,atlas,Adeline and two other trusted people were having a meeting in the meeting room we were discussing about how we are going to attack and what will we do if something bad happens
"we have atlas who is now the king of kingdom Valentino" Adeline said as she was sitting on the throne and we all were standing around her
"he might be beneficial" one of the man said Adeline shook him a weird look she looked at the man and stood up from the throne
"talk to him respectfully he's a king and if you don't" Adeline said while atlas looked at her proudly I knew that he somehow changed because the atlas we brought here would cry if he witnessed this side of her
the man bowed to Adeline and looked down
"forgive me, his majesty" he said to Adeline as she smirked and looked at atlas. Atlas gave him a reassuring look and she walked back to her throne
"be respectful next time. I don't give second chances. consider yourself lucky" Adeline said as she adjusted her huge dress it was a violet dress the design is same to the kind of dress she usually wears long touching the floor...

"atlas... you might be able to help us... tell us everything you know about the castle.... it'll help us with the war" Adeline said as she looked at atlas I turned my gaze to look at atlas as well he was looking nervous he looked around and after sometime he finally spoke

"erm.... the memories are triggering and I don't remember much" he said and the four pair of eyes looked in his direction. Adeline refused to ask any other question after hearing the word 'triggering' who can relate it better than her we planned and what felt like centuries we finally left the meeting room all the preparations were done and now we are just waiting for tomorrow we are going to attack in early morning

I entered my room and looked around there's nothing special I walked toward the table where most of the books and two diaries were resting I picked out one of the diary I dipped the feather in black ink and started to write in the diary

"Dear diary,
It's me again... Life has been a lot more difficult... I can't complain I was always supposed to feel excited due to pain... But is it wrong that I don't feel the same anymore... I don't feel sad neither do I feel happy I feel nothing at all.... I just want to feel something... I don't have anyone to whom I can vent and show my raw emotions... Adeline...she has a lot of problems herself I can't let her see my weak side...anyways, tomorrow we are going to have a war I don't have a lot of time to write but still I'm writing just in case.... I met atlas he is a nice guy and-"

I was interrupted by a sudden knock on the door and then the door creaked open and it was Adeline I immediately closed my diary and looked in her direction

"get ready we are going to leave soon" she said
