"These are the guards that were with "
us" I said while we were standing on the stage in the meeting Adeline was sitting on the throne while me and atlas were standing beside her

"I asked one of you to pick up a black bag" Adeline said while looking at the guards her gaze wandered around the meeting room as she try to remember the person's face
"the bag is really important to me can the person whom I asked to pick it up come forward" Adeline said and no one moved forward but then a person moved forward

"it was me, his majesty" one of the guard came forward and said
"bring me the bag" Adeline ordered but the guard hung is head low
I looked at atlas and saw the worry in his eyes it looks like the bag was actually precious to him he looked like he was gonna start crying soon
"his majesty,I lost the bag" the guard said while his head was still hung low
and 'here we go' I thought to myself when I saw a tear roll down Atlas's face he looked vulnerable
(I'm not saying that crying makes you vulnerable)

"what do you mean you lost it?"  I heard Adeline's voice and it was filled with rage and anger
"his majesty I placed the bag on the table in my room before going to sleep and when I woke up it wasn't there" the guard said fear visible in his eyes when he finally looked up with his watery eyes
"p-please f-forgive me" the guard said while looking at Adeline her eyes held no emotions
"you can't even take care of a damn bag how can I trust you with the castle's safety" Adeline said with fire in her eyes and I knew this side of her better than anyone else

sometimes she's not her real self or maybe that is her real side a minute ago we were talking and laughing and she looked like an angel fell from heaven
but right now she's looking like a devil straight out of hell
maybe that's the difference between a friend and a queen

"p-please" he said while tearing up
"bring me a paper, feather and ink" Adeline said and a guard quickly brought the things she asked for

she wrote something on the paper and asked the man who was crying to come forward and I knew what was going to happen
I looked at atlas to see his reaction
Adeline pulled out a little stabber from the back of her dress
she grabbed the man's hand and stabbed it she picked out a new feather from the box and threw away the one which was covered in  ink
and if I say that Atlas's eyes were the size of a bomb than it won't be wrong the tears on his cheeks were now dried and his nose was red

the guard stood there blood flowed from the area of his arm which was stabbed Adeline dipped the feather in his blood and wrote her name with blood at the end of the paper

"you're not a royal guard anymore" Adeline said and got up from the throne she looked towards atlas and his state was vulnerable and as soon as Adeline looked at him he flinched Adeline slowly walked towards him while moving the stabber in her hands skillfully

"I'll not stab you. you're my guest" she said to him. he looked at her an uncomfortable look on his face
I walked towards them
"m-my b-bag" he murmured

"I'll ask my people to look for it" she said and walked away from there
"you want me to take you to your room?" I asked while he was staring at a random space
"h-huh y-yes please" he replied while looking at me and his nose was still red and the tears on his face were now dried
"okay come on" I said and he started to walk with me

"you might be shocked" I asked while walking in the hallway
he looked at me curiously
"what was that?" he asked
"it is a rule made by Adeline herself" I said and he looked at me nervously
"whenever someone lefts the castle or is kicked out they have to have a scar on their left arm or right leg and a letter written by the queen herself" I replied although there is a whole ass story for the scar but I'm not in the mood to explain
"why did she write her name with blood" atlas asked and it is something I don't even know myself why doesn't she write it with simple ink why always blood
" I don't know she never writes her name with simple ink" I replied and he looked quite nervous and uncomfortable

"she won't hurt you" I said I don't know why I said it but I had a feeling that she won't hurt him no matter what
he looked at me curiously I pointed towards the guest room
"alright go

goodbye see you later" I said and smiled and walked away

goodbye see you later" I said and smiled and walked away
