NAT'S POV
Umupo ako sa harap ng Christmas tree namin. Sa ilalim no'n puno ng mga regalo na naka-pangalan sa mga families and friends namin.
I scanned all of the gifts and realized na wala pala akong regalo para kay Bryce. I still don't remember if I give him gifts. Pero, maybe now's gonna be the time na mamimigay ako.
I thought of Bryce. I think for now, I would give gifts that would be based from his looks.
Oo, married nga kami. Pero, since nung aksidente ko, wala na akong matandaan tungkol sa kanya.
I've been staying at the house for nearly three days now. Bryce took care of me so much, sometimes, I felt really spoiled by him. Pinagbibigyan niya ako sa mga gusto ko.
Judging from his actions, I think he'd even catch a bullet for me.
...
I stood after a few minutes.
So, maybe bibigyan ko nga siya ng regalo. Pero what kind?
Would I give him new cufflinks?
Or a planner?
How about a new necktie?
A hoodie?
A car?
Gadgets? A phone? iPad? Camera?
Ayun!
Camera na lang!
"BRYCE!" I shouted.
May narinig akong nahulog at mga yabag.
"NATALIE? BAKIT? ANONG NANGYARI?"
He took one look at me at the foot of the staircase and he took the stairs two at a time. Nang maabutan niya ako, he examined my arms and legs as if looking for bruises and gashes.
When he looked up at me, he saw that I was smiling.
"Don't you dare scare me like that!" sabi niya sabay yakap sa akin.
"Oo na po," sabi ko naman.
Nang bitawan niya ako, he stared into my eyes.
"You want to tell me something?" he asked.
I nodded. "Napansin ko lang parang kulang ang mga regalo sa ilalim ng Christmas tree natin. Can we still go for shopping?" I asked.
Bryce knew that I still remembered everybody... except for him.
He seemed to be grasping that fact very well. Pero alam kong nasasaktan pa rin siya.
After all, asawa ko nga siya.
"Sure, love. Kailan mo gusto?" tanong niya.
"How about now?"
He smiled. "Of course, love. I'll just go get the car keys."
....
"Love, sino pa ba ang kulang?" Bryce asked me.
"Erm-- Si Noah! Nakalimutan kong bilhan noon si Noah!" sabi ko.
Buti na lang at laging nandyan ang kapatid ko para gawing excuse kasi hindi na nagtanong pa si Bryce.
Nakarating kami sa isang gadgets shop. Sa isang corner, merong mga phones at pads, sa kabila naman, mga cameras. Hinila ko si Bryce doon.
"Good morning, Sir, Ma'am. How may I help you?" tanong ng salesman.
Tumingin ako kay Bryce.
"Bryce, anong magandang camera na babagay kay Noah?" tanong ko.
