Ang aga kong nagising. Today is our best day! It's our birthday!

Agad akong nagtungo sa banyo para maligo. Right after I bathed, lumabas na ako sa kwarto ko at tumakbo pababang hall.

Bumungad sa'kin si Mommy na nakangiti.

"Happy 5th birthday sweetheart. Have you seen your gift, hmm?"

I smiled as I hugged mom. Kahit walang gift basta narito sila sa tabi namin, okay lang. But they're both so busy!

"You don't have a gift for me, mommy." I sounded sad but i'm smiling.

Mom just chuckled. "You really know us."

Tumawa na rin ako. Yes, mom and dad don't give gifts on our birthdays but they will give us their time. That's already the best gift ever.

I hugged mom. "Love you, Mommy!"

"I love you too, sweetie. Now let's go to your room. They're already there, waiting."

I smiled and walked towards my room with my mom. This is gonna be my best day ever!

Malaki ang ngiti ko habang naglalakad kami ni mommy pabalik sa kwarto ko. I squealed when I saw Dad and Mehri on my bed.

"Happy birthday, my twins!" Daddy hugged and kissed Mehri and mine's cheeks. We both chuckled.

"We have gifts for you, my princesses."

Sabay kaming dumaing ni Mehri. "You don't have gifts!"

Mom and Dad just chuckled. "We have."

Napanganga nalang kami nang may biglang kinuha si Dad mula sa likuran n'ya. Is this real?! May gift talaga sila?!

We both squealed when Dad handed us the boxes. We already knew which was ours, based on the colors. Dali dali kong binuksan ang kulay blue na box at napanganga nalang ng makita ang laman.

"Waahh!! Thank you po Daddy! Mommy!" I squealed and kissed their cheeks.

"Waaahh!! Thank you rin po Mom! Dad!" Gaya ko ay hinalikan rin ni Mehri sina Mom at Dad sa pisngi na ikinangiti lang nila.

My gift was a blue barrette and a set of uniquely designed pencils and paintbrushes. I love it!

Nilingon ko ang kay Mehri. It was also a barrette. Kulay yellow nga lang ang sa kanya. May mga panali ng buhok rin do'n which Mehri loved. Mahilig kasi s'ya sa braids kaya bagay iyon sa kanya.

We spent our morning inside my room with our parents while having fun. On the afternoon, nagpaalam na sina Mom at Dad dahil nandito na raw ang ibang mga bisita. Naiwan kami ni Mehri sa loob ng room.

Napatawa ako nang dinambahan ako ni Mehri saka hinalikan ang pisngi ko. "Happy birthday, Hyeri Gabrielle! You're the best Ate ever!"

I hugged her and kissed the both of her cheeks too. "And happy birthday to you too, Mehri Gabrielle. You're the best bunso ever!"

Sabay kaming tumawa sa pinagsasabi namin. Yes, i'm the firstborn. Halos five minutes lang naman daw ang pagitan namin.

"Nga pala, I have a gift for you!"

Her eyes glimmered when I said that. "Really?"

"Yep!" I nodded, smiling. "Punta ka muna sa room mo dahil kukunin ko ang gift ko."

"I have a gift for you too." She got out of the bed and opened her room. "Kukunin ko. Punta ka sa room ko ah."

"Okay!"
