The ceremony:***

María's head whipped around upon Lauren's gentle voice putting an end to the long intervals of silence in the room she glammed up in. María turned away from the closed window completely, abandoning the sight of their guests scattering around the soiled grounds decorated with white flower petals and tiny candles, finding their designated seats in the aisles. Lauren stepped in all the way and carefully closed the door behind her and smiled as she slowly advanced to where María stood fidgeting.
"I know you kicked all of us out because you wanted some time alone to breathe and think, but I just thought I'd come back and talk to you one on one," Lauren continued, her footsteps creaking on the wooden floorboards. She halted and took a moment to admire the Spanish-Indonesian. Her smile grew. "You look...nothing short of ravishing, María."
She kept it simple but enchanting like their wedding theme; long brown hair falling elegantly in waves, subtle makeup for a natural look, dangling white earrings, a white long sleeve gown with intricate designs that exposed a good portion of her collarbones. María was glowing with light and purity—she looked like a golden sunrise if it had a human form.
