"Oww! You braiding too tight" my 12 year old brother, Tyson, complained and I sucked my teeth while stopping mid braid
"Ain nobody even braiding that tight so shut up"
He tried to pull his head away so I pulled it back and went back to braiding while my momma walked in the room holding my 4 year old sister with one hand and held her phone to her ear with the other
"Mary"
"Huh?" I looked up at her and sucked my teeth "if you'on put that grown behind girl down"
"Leave my baby alone.. when do you and your friend graduate? Y'all went for y'all 2 year degree right?"
"Yeah. Karma graduate in May cause she started earlier than me and she been taking summer classes too. Ion graduate till December cause ima take classes over summer. Why?"
She shook her head and walked out the room
"Yeah she graduate next year" she told whoever she was on the phone with
Once I finished his hair he stood up and I laughed
"What? They look ugly?" He ran his hands across his braids
"No. But you look exactly like a mixed version of lil bow wow"
He sucked his teeth and I felt my phone vibrate beside me so I picked it up seeing karma made a group chat with me, her, milani and Bri I'm guessing. Bri and I don't really talk like that because I barely see her but I know her and karma have grown close of the past year so it had to be her
