Days blend together

Chapter 12

The months in America seems to pass by quickly.

I took a few day to get myself back on track with my sleeping pattern and get over the jet lag.

My life almost became repetitive.

Get up in the morning
Eat breakfast
Spend the day catching up with friends
FaceTime calls with Robert
FaceTime calls with Tanya
Work at the bar In the evening

And repeat.

Summer vacation dragged on, my eldest brother Chris surprised us all when he announced him and Rebecca had eloped, we all had to spend the rest of the day listening to mom go off about how selfish he was and how he didn't care for family, if so he would of told everyone he was getting married.

"I mean who does he think he is."

We all hold out tongue it's never good to interrupt her when she goes off

I was currently eating lunch with my family when I had a notification that Robert was requesting to FaceTime.

"Mom, Robert wants to FaceTime is it okay."

"Of course dear, stay at the table I want to say hello."

My mum has been introduced to Robert via FaceTime and apparently he got into the good books because all she could talk about for the next hour was how charming he is, how polite he was.etc.

Robert smiling face popped up on my screen.

I dread to think what time it was there

"Good afternoon my lady."

I laugh

"Hey Robert, family wants to day hi, hold on."

I click the flip button.

My parent and siblings that are currently home all wave at Robert.

"Hi Robert.

"Hey

"Good evening dear."

Robert laugh

"Hi everyone."

I then flip the camera back around and leave the table to find somewhere quieter.

I head into the office.

"I miss you."

"I miss you two Robert , but hey I'll be with you in two weeks."

"I suppose that is some consolation."

Robert went on

"Speaking of, my mum will most likely be in touch soon to speak to you about the trip."

We spent the next hour catching up on everything that has happened since our last FaceTime.

"crikey, I'm guessing your mom didn't take the news well."

"Understatement of the year, I wouldn't be surprised if she disinvited them to thanksgiving."

"Danielle" someone was shouting for me down stairs.

I looked down at Robert.

"I have to cut this short."

"Yh I should get to sleep."

"Night love you."

"Goodnight."

The screen switched of.

Walking out the office I Came face to face with Louise.

"Mum told me to tell you she's heading to the shops and do you want anything."

"I'm good"

Louise a typical teenage rolls her eyes and
Huffs alway.

My the time I get the call from Terri I'm just about to head to bed.

I press accept and Terri's fave fills the screen.

"Hey Dani."

"Hi"

"Did Robert tell you I was going to call."

"He did."

"Good, anyway for the trip in two weeks you will be arriving the night before we set to leave is that corrects."

"Yes I booked my seat this morning."

"Perfect and Robert was meant to pick you up but instead it will be chandler instead,bindi and Robert will be needed that day."

I've not really bonded with chandler like bindi but okay.

"You will be staying with us that night."

"Okay"

"and when were actually on the campsite you will be sharing a tent with Robert."

I perked my head up.

I thought I would be sharing with bindi and chandler was sharing with Robert.

Chuckling at my surprised expression.

"I figured you and Robert could share a tent, I mean it's not like you two can do anything, where were there, or I hope you won't try anything."

I quickly shook my head at the irwin matriarch.

"No"

"Then I don't see a problem with you to sharing a tent."

"So anyway I have some news for you."

She now has my full attention.

"Lana is pregnant with koba's pups."

My face is starting to hurt from all the smiling.

"Really, that's amazing."

"I thought that would make you happy, anyway I have to get back to work but I will see you in 2 weeks."

She signed off.

That evening I went to bed with a big smile on my face. 

Two weeks couldn't come quicker.
