Kabanata 14

Past

I was confused for a moment. I don’t know I felt something.

“Let’s start.”

Our motion for today is THBT non-LGBTQ people should not play LGBTQ roles in TV/Film (e.g. A lesbian role should only be played by a lesbian.)

“Ladies and Gentlemen, we believe that non-LGBTQ people should not play LGBT roles in TV/Film because it will be unfair for those member of LGBTQ because they have no chance to play the role. We live in a modern society where people identify as what they want to be for example; Queer, Pansexual, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and etc. People in the modern society tends to believe that change is relevant. Change is important because we are changing as years passed, as generation passed, people should embrace the new genders emerging.”

“To present my arguments; If the role is acted by a straight person they don’t know the feelings of real feeling of LGBTQ hence, they will take time to learned it and it will only cost waste of time and money for that.  We all know that member of LGBTQ is different from how straight people act, for example their feelings, mind set, how they act. We are all different in our own ways.”

“So if straight people will act the LGBTQ roles it will be called ‘so fake’ it will not be realistic  and the people, watcher, and audience does not want it. People want realistic scenarios to be expressed by the actor themselves. And, also the LGBTQ are part of the watchers and audience if they will messed up their role, the straight people who acted the role might received a back clash from LGBTQ.”

“If they will messed up their role obviously they will received hate and it will affect their fame, mentality, and emotionally. If they don’t portray the role properly the LGBTQ people will be insulted in their part.”

“Straight people can give out performances or play LGBTQ roles in a stereotypical way, like gay people always go for male with carnivorous and lesbian completely copying men in terms of outfit, which they don’t, people who are openly gay should play the roles due to fully understanding and breaking walls that straight people mistakes due to stereotypes created or traditional things that gay people do.”

“If LGBTQ people will play the role it will be more realistic and the feelings are more authentic because they’re able to expressed it without having to fake it. And it will give them a chance to prove themselves to the people who are judging them that they are noy what they think. And with that, I end my speech, thank you.”

Mabuti nalang natapos ang first competition namin.

“James!” may sumigaw. Pareho kaming lumingon ni Rafael.

“Rhea.”

Maganda sya sedyoso. Nakakainggit naman sino kaya ‘to bat kilala ni Rafael?
