Artemis's POV
I woke up in a white room with curtains around me. I was in the hospital, I held my head trying to remember what happened. It hit me. Dad. How did I get here though and.. WHERES MY MOM? I just remembered she got shot, I need to find her! I got up from my bed and opened the curtain,
"Ms. Crock, please go back to your bed." A tried to escort me back to my bed.
"Where's my mother?" she kept walking me back to my room.
"Your mom is fine, sweetie. Thanks to that neighbor of yours." neighbor? What neighbor?
"Ah here she is now!" I looked up and saw a dark girl with short black hair.
"Hi i'm Raquel! I just moved next door to you a week ago. I heard some shots and got scared so I called the police."
"Thank you, my mom wouldn't be alive if you hadn't." she smiled. She walked over to me and sat down in a chair.
"Do you know who done this to you?" I looked down. I knew if I turned him in again he'd just come back,
"I want to see my mother." She nodded and stood up,
"I'll go ask if you can see here." She walked out of the room,
*BUZZ BUZZ*
I looked over and saw my phone, I grabbed it,
*4 new messages*
W- Hey where are you class is about to start?
W- Arty.. Hurry or this weird girl is gonna take your seat!
W- Are you okay??
W- Hellooo you gooddd?? i'm worried
I smiled and started to type,
A- I'm in the hospital
W- WHAT? WHY??
A- Someone broke into my apartment
W- Do you need me to bring you anything?
A- A fresh pair of clothes, here's my address Gotham Str. Building 1234 Apartment 12

W- Alright i'll be there after class
A- cya
Raquel walked back through the door,
"They said you can see her now." I got out of my bed and rushed to the nurse. She took me to my mothers room. She laid in a bed her skin was pale, and blood stains on he hospital gown. I covered my mouth and tears started to form in my eyes, I walked up beside her and held her hand. She opened her eyes and looked at me,
"chào cô gái ngọt ngào của tôi" (Hi my sweet girl) She put her hand on my face.
"Tôi rất xin lỗi mẹ tôi không thể ngăn anh ấy lại" (I'm so sorry momma I couldn't stop him) Tears began to fall down my face, she quickly whipped him them off.

"Hey Artemis some redhead is out here asking for you." I turn around to see Raquel, a squeezed my mom's hand and got up.
Wally's POV
I waited for her to come out, I looked up and saw her. She had a huge bruise on the right side of her face, her eye was swollen and her blonde hair seemed to be stained with blood.
"What the hell happened to you?" I walked up to her and ran my finger on her face. She winced and glared at me,
"Uh ouch and I told you what happened." She looked down and grabbed the clothes out of my hands and walked off. I looked around and saw a women in the room she walked out of. She looked a lot like Artemis except she had short dark brown hair, she looked way worse than Arty.
"Phew much better." I turned around and saw the blonde.
"Thanks by the way you can leave now if you want I don't want Linda to get mad at you." I shook my head,
"Your my friend, i'm not just gonna leave you here alone." she smiled.
"I'm fine, i've got my mom and Raquel. I don't want to be a bother." I looked in her eyes.
"I promise i'll be okay." I sighed,
"Fine, i'm going. Your still going on the trip right?" she nodded.
"I will as long as my mom doesn't need me."
"Bye Arty." I waved walking away.
"Bye Wall-man." she waved.
