Chapter 2 ~ Interduction

Wally's pov

I walk through my apartment door still smiling at the thought of the blonde. I didn't even know her yet I was just so intrigued by her.

"Wallace Rudolph West! Where have you been?!" I sighed. I honestly have no idea why i'm dating Linda Park. She was totally cool when we first met but now, she's crazy!

"I was out Linda. I told you I had to go pick up some stuff." I took off my coat and shoes.

"You've been gone for 3 hours Wally!" I rolled my eyes.

"I was out in town you know it's far from our apartment. So calm down, babe." I walked over to her. I have no idea why she's so mad, she goes out all the time! Sometimes she's gone for days, if I ask where she's at she gets all defensive.

"Just call me and let me know your okay next time." She hugged me.

"I will." I hugged her back.

Artemis's pov

I finally made it back to my apartment I share with my mom. I sat down all my bags and looked down at my sweater.

"Hey hun, what happened?" My mom said pointing to my coffee stained shirt.

"Some idiot who didn't know how to look up before walking pushed my coffee and it spilt on me." I sighed walking into my room. I always wanted to live by myself after I turned 18, but I never left. My mom needs me. She continues to argue with me though, 'Artemis your 21 you need your own place!' I always worry about her so I won't. I take off all my clothes and changed into a green tank top and black shorts. I still can't believe some guy ruined my sweater! I saw a paper in my pocket from my jeans today and picked it up. Oh yea he gave me his number, I placed the paper in my drawer. No way i'm calling him so he can spill more coffee on me.

Wally's pov

I was on my way to meet my best friend Dick at a coffee shop that we always went to as kids. I walked in and saw him at a table.

"Hey Dick." he glared at me.

"Hello Wally, I hope you know your girlfriend would not stop calling me crying because she didn't know where you was." I scratched the back of my neck.

"My bad, dude. I was getting her a gift for Christmas." he shook his head.

"What ya think?" he points to the redhead that walks through the cafe door.

"hm solid 9." she was a pale redheaded girl that had a tall buff dark headed guy next to her.

"I wouldn't even try to talk to her." I gesture to the guy beside her.

"Dude definitely a 10." I turn around and look at a blonde girl walk in. She goes to the redhead and hugs her.

"I've seen her somewhere." oh. shit. That's the girl I spilt coffee on. She looked over at me, I turned away quickly.

"Hey Wall-man that blonde babe is walking over here." I quickly grab a menu and open it to cover my face.

"Well hey there stranger." she puts her finger on the top of the menu pushing it down.

"Hey.." shit what is her name? I just remember an Art.

"Arty!" she gave me a confused look. She shook her head.

"Uh hey I'm Dick Grayson." he stuck his hand out. She shook it.

"I'm Artemis."

"How do you know, Wall-man here?" he looked at me.

" 'Wall-man' bumped into me at a store and spilt coffee all over my favorite sweater." she glares at me. I smile awkwardly.

"Real smooth Wally." He faced palmed. Artemis waves her friends over. I couldn't help myself from looking at the blonde goddess.

"This is Megan and Connor." I shook my head out of my trance.

"Hi!" I stuck my hand out to shake theirs.

"I'm Wally, this is Dick" they both shook our hands.

"Why don't you all join us?" Dick asked.

"Sure, Wally owes me a coffee anyways." she laughed. I've never heard a laugh that sounds so beautiful. Ew that was cheesy why did think that?!

"Come with me to get your drink?" she nodded and we walked up to get in line.
