                               (Y/n)' POV
I woke to the jostling of my body. The man carried me and was being really rough. I think he's mad that I kicked his friend into my wall. "Sorry I kicked yer friend..." I mumbled out, as I was still regaining feeling in my body. "We'll deal with you soon. But, apology accepted."

The girl still didn't speak. She walked silently, leading Maverick who was watching me closely. "S'alright boy. They's not beinggg mean yet." He huffed in disagreement, but stopped staring at me. "Dog seems to obey you fairly well. Interesting." I didn't say anything in response to that.

We got to a room and they sat me down. "Turn on the air." She did as told and the room filled with freezing cold air, this filled me with renewed strength. I sat up straight, not feeling groggy anymore. I tried to move my hands but couldn't. They cuffed me while I was unconscious, great. "So, we have questions." I looked at then with their masks and goggles on.

"And I'll answer them. Though, I don't think your mute friend here will be saying much of anything." She remained silent but let Maverick go. He immediately came to my side. "Tell the mutt to leave the cuffs alone and to behave himself." I glared at him. "Maverick is no mutt. He's a pure breed husky." I looked to my partner in crime. "Behave yourself bud, we'll get out of this soon." He sat on his haunches once again.

"Question number one: What's your name?"

I scoffed at this but answered. "My name is (Y/n) (L/n)."

He nodded, seemingly satisfied. "Well, (Y/n), do you know why we brought you here?"

I shook my head. "Nah, no clue."

"We brought you here because we have reason to believe you may be an alien."

I shrugged my shoulders. "You'd be assuming correctly."

He inclined his head at this. "You're not going to deny it?"

I shook my head. "What's the point? I'm not ashamed of who or what I am."

"Interesting. What are you, exactly?"

"You know what I am."

"Do I, now? And what makes you think that?"

I whistled at Maverick, who raised his nose to point to the vents. "If you didn't know what I was, why did you put the air on? Freezing cold, at that. You knew that the element of cold would rejuvenate me, strengthen me, help me fight off the sedative you gave me. Trust me, you know what I am."

The man nodded in what seemed to be approval. He was feeling excited for some reason. "Very perceptive, (Y/n). Well done."

I ignored his comment. "Any other questions?"

"Yes, actually. Do you know Supergirl?"

I scoffed. "Who doesn't?"

"Let me rephrase that. Do you know her personally?"

I paused as I felt something...weird in my head. "Do I really need to answer that? When you can read my mind?"

His entire body locked up at that. "How did you....?"

I smiled. "You know what I am. Figure it out. Martian."

Both figures tensed at this. The girl looked to him. He looked at me, and took off his mask and goggles. He was a black man, though I knew this was not really what he looked like. "How do you know I'm a Martian?" He growled. I shrugged at this. "You poked around in my head, and now I know quite a few things about you. Maybe next time, you'll trust that I'll give you what you ask for." He seethed at this. The girl took her mask and goggles off. It was Alex. "So that's why you didn't talk. You knew I'd recognize your voice." She hung her head low.

"Alex, are you serious? I mean, you could've just talked to me about this." She shook her head. "This was the only way! Kara was boguarding you." Alright, fuck this. I broke my wrists from the cuffs. I rubbed them. They both gasped. "How...?" I smiled. "The air is still on. I'm feeling really good." The Martian scoffed.

I turned back towards Alex. "You mentioned Kara. Why was she involved?" Both Alex and the Martian took their seats. "Kara told me you weren't human, and I just wanted to talk to you, see what she was talking about." She said as she shrugged her shoulders. "Director Henshaw here, wanted to bring you in for questioning....among other things." I looked to the Martian. "Are you satisfied, Director Henshaw?" He scowled at me. "You frost giants are as smug as I remember you." I smiled. "Wait," Alex interjected. "You know of his kind?" He nodded. "Frost giants—or Friör Jötun—are very...full of themselves." I scoffed. "That's putting it lightly. We're assholes." He laughed at this. I still had one more question. "Why did you bring me here?"
