Surprise

The crowd gathered as Ezekiel's parents went up into the stage.  Ezekiel with his hands still on my waist brought me along to the crowd.

God! They're married for thirty years! Through all of their challenges, they stood firm beside each other and helped each other to grow to the person that they are today.

"Thank you for coming all to our simple celebration." Mr.  Ryan Ford started. He was being humble, this is not a simple celebration, this is grand yet elegant. "Today marks the 30th year that Christine and I vowed our eternal love in front of the almighty God. I must say my darling," he paused and look at his wife, "it was a pleasure to spend the last thirty years with you. It was a roller coaster ride. Thank you for sticking up to your vows by being with me through all my successes and failures, thank you for being the hand that helps me stand whenever I fall. I couldn't imagine a life without you Tine. " He took Mrs. Ford's hand and kissed it.

I couldn't help but cry. Don't judge me, okay? I am a bit of a sucker for romance. Ezekiel must've noticed that I was crying. He pulled me closer to him and caressed my back with his hands gently.

"Thank you for giving me our twins, Ally and Ezekiel. I must have been done something good in my past life for giving me so much in this life, you and our twins. No words can describe how grateful I am to have met you when we were younger. Happy 30th to us my darling." He finished.

All of us gave him a round of applause. God, that line, 'I must have something good in my past life for giving me so much in this life', feels as if the life that they've been living is a fairytale.

I wish all of us experiences a love like that.

Mrs. Ford, took the microphone and she started saying her words of gratitude, "First of all, thank you to all the people who came today." She said sweetly. She then turned to her husband, "Love, I know before I always tell you how you should not have married me when I was younger but looking back now, it is one of the things that I will forever not regret doing so. Thank you for loving me unconditionally. Thank you for never getting tired of me. I don't think it's you who is lucky, I think it's me. I'm eternally grateful to have a faithful husband like you. One who cares so much for his family and does everything to give us nothing but the best. Always remember that every time you fall, I'll always be at your side to lend you my hand and help you to stand again. In your successes, I'll always be with you proudly standing beside you. My life would be meaningless without you and our kids. I hope in our next life, it'll still be you and me. If not, I'd look for you to be with you again." She finished and kissed Mr. Ford's lips.

All of us cheered for them, what a great opportunity to witness a love like that. It's an incredible experience to watch such amazing and powerful couple expressing their love for each other.

Ezekiel looked at me, "Stop crying baby, you'll experience that with me. Don't worry." He assured me.

"Their love is just too pure and unique." I said. My voice was breaking as I said this. I am just so happy to witness a love that Ezekiel's parents shared.

He hugged me tightly. He informed me that he had to go to his parents to talk to them about something important.

I gave him a nod and he promised he'd be back straight away.  I walked over to the tables where my parents were.

A few moments passed and I saw Ezekiel with his parents on the stage. I saw them having an intimate conversation about god knows what. They looked happy for him for some reason. While I was watching them, my vision started to be blurry.
