Volleyball Tournament

It was a month since Ezekiel has been dodged by Soleil. At first he hadn't mind that she doesn't care at all but then the people around him makes him feel insecure about himself why she can't seem to stand a minute looking at him.

For the past month he had done a lot of things, usually it ended with a disaster. First was when during their Chemistry class, they had to make a certain mixture. He told Soleil that he knows how to do it and he hadn't realised that he had mixed the wrong chemicals. The chemical had burst not to him but it had hit Soleil. Instead of making her to like him, instead her annoyance increased just because of this. Second was when he tried to talk to her during a test and Soleil was forced to go out of class because the professor thought she was cheating. Third was when he tried to show off but instead she got wet by an orange juice that totally ruined her outfit.

One thing's for sure though and that is everytime Ezekiel is near, Soleil avoids him because she knows having him around means disaster is going to happen.

"You know, I know why you are doing all of these." his twin sister said to him.

This had caught his attention, was he too obvious that he wanted her attention? "I don't know what you are talking about, Ally." he denied.

"Aww." she made a teasing sound, "Little Eze just couldn't face a fact that out of the 99% of girls that likes you, Soleil is the 1% that hates you." she said.

"Stop pestering me here Ally. Go back to your friends." he said to her with annoyance in her voice.

"Got no plans anyway in sticking with you. Don't wanna be in danger." she teased again.

He was about to grab her and yank her hair when she run fast away from him and just gave him a face. He sat quietly. Well that's the first. Usually he is around with people messing around.

Soleil entered the room. As usual, she was smiling but everytime she sees Ezekiel, she couldn't help but think that she had an unlucky day.

She was so pissed at him for doing all those disastrous moves. She made him notice him, alright but his actions just made her more annoyed at him.

She was close with everybody in thse school but one group certainly hates her. Ezekiel's fan club led by Scarlett Red. She hates her for hating Ezekiel and for not joining their fans club. Soleil also became really close towards Ezekiel's group of friends. Especially to Rain. She always felt funny the way he had introduced himself to her.

"Hi, my name is the complete opposite from yours and that's why we are meant to be." that line never gets old, she thought.

She got really comfortable with his gang well except for Ezekiel. They were now in the PE Hall waiting for their professor to come. They will have a volleyball tournament and this tournament will depend on what grade they will get for Physical Education. Out of the blue she couldn't wonder but asked them a question that has been lingering in her mind.

"Hey, Rain." she called

Rain looked at her, "Why couldn't be Ezekiel like all of you?" she asked

This made the whole gang looked at her and she's pretty sure that Ezekiel is listening from the far corner.

"What do you mean like us?" John asked her confusingly.

"Like all of you. You know not being a jerk." Her statement made everyone laugh. She didn't know that her statement was funny while she was being serious.

"Soleil, he is not Ezekiel if he is not a jerk. You see he is used of having everyone's attention and then you came and made it challenging to himself to make you notice him." Heath told her

"He doesn't need to do all of those though, I can see him but I just see him as an annoying jerk human being." she said, "Too bad no one will know in the show business that their idol is a big jerk." They laughed all again.

On the far corner, Ezekiel heard all of this. So she noticed me he said to himself. He couldn't help but smile. Am I really a jerk? he asked himself. His group of friends went to him after that talk. He was annoyed.

"How could you talk behind my back?!" he asked

"Dude, we were telling the truth. Calm your nerves, yeah?" Rain said

"So that's the reason why she hates it everytime she sees you!" Heath said to him

Ezekiel just gave him a deadly stare. While Heath and Rain left, John talked to him sensibly.

"Eze." he called

"What is it? Are you going to tease me too? If you are get the hell away from me." Ezekiel angrily said.

"Don't mind what they said. They did that because they like Soleil." John said which caught the attention of Ezekiel

"They like her? As a friend or more than?" he asked

"More than." he simply said

"I just want to be close to her. To be her friend." he said honestly.

"One tip of advice, Just be yourself dude! Stop with all of that jerkish act! I know you better than your twin. That's the reason why your twin avoids you because you wanted to portray your jerkish image even in real life when that is only for showbiz." He said and then left.

The volleyball tournament had started. It was the girl's volleyball tournament. It was boring, he admitted. He never liked volleyball. Out of boredom he went into facebook and stalked Soleil. If anyone had seen him now it will ruin his image but he couldn't care less when he was so bored. He just watched volleyball when it was Soleil's team vs his fans club.

"Shit, out of all people, why them?" she cursed in her head. Those girls hates her. Scarlett was now smiling devishly at her as if she was planning something. She looked around for her bodyguards but remembered they are out having their break.

The start of the game went well. She did a spike in which no one had able to caught it.

"Mine!" Scarlett said as the received the ball. They won the first set.

In the middle of the second set, a ball was going really fast and strong towards her. Shit she cursed in her head. Everything went in a slow motion. Her feet were not moving as if she was just standing there. She couldn't hit it back. As it went nearer and nearer to her, she just covered her face and just care about her bruises later on. The ball had hit her and it made a really huge impact on her. She fell and when her head was nearly going to hit the ground. Somebody caught her. She opened her eyes and saw Ezekiel. He saved him.

"Are you okay?" he asked worriedly.

"I-I'm okay." she said

"Shit, your nose is bleeding." He said which made her stand but her ankles were badly injured due to the fall. She felt all the pain in her ankles and she was starting to tear up.

"It's okay I'm here." he assuringly said to her. With one swift move she was already in his arms as he begins to walk towards the clinic.

She never knew that Ezekiel had this side. She saw Scarlett fuming mad at her and also she saw his gang worried especially Rain.

"Don't worry I will teach them a lesson." he said to her which made her feel protected
