The noise came to a stop just as I ran to the window. A fancy black car was parked there, a logo resembling a heart with wings attached had been painted in white on the pitch black hood.

A man stepped out the drivers side with dark hair and familiar dark eyes that could steal a girl's heart in seconds. He tilted his head up towards the window as he spoke. So I opened it up, resting my elbows on the sill.

"K/j/n! Open up, I come baring gifts!" He called.

"Mr. Sandman, haven't seen you in awhile."

"It's been way too long, may I come inside?"

"Of course, I'll be down in a minute." A smile crept onto my face as I picked up Buttercup to come down with me.

"Who is that?" Ghoul asked.

"A friend." Was all I said, rushing down the stairs to unlock the door.

"Sandman!" Buttercup tried wiggling out of my grasp as she saw him.

"Hold on pumpkin, I gotta unlock the door." I giggled, setting her down, and opening up.

"Sandman, I've missed you!" Buttercup cried, hugging onto his leg.

"Aww, I've missed you too. I have a surprise for you!"

"Really!? For me!?" She gasped.

"Yeah," He looked to me, "I have something for both of you. Well, someone, for your mom," I sent him a strange look, "Here ya go, sweetheart!" He handed her a yellow sunshine Care Bear.

"Wow, I love it! Thank you!" She was very excited, she immediately sat inside, playing with it in her own little world.

"I heard about what happened to you. Seems like you're already back to your same old self. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm doin' alright, I guess. How are America's Suitehearts?" I asked.

"They're good, I heard you're hanging around with the Killjoys now, is that right?"

"Yeah," I answered.

"Damn, I never thought I'd see the day you'd quit going solo." He leaned against the hood of the car, I did as well.

"Solo? I've got Buttercup, and I had you... for a lot of it. Besides, I'm just friends with them. I dunno if I'd consider myself one of them."

"That sounds about right," He chuckled, "C'mere, I picked somethin' up while cruising around. I think it might interest you." He stood up and began towards the trunk of the car.

"Yeah? What is it, exactly?" I asked, following him.

"Just come look," He said, opening it up, "I guess I should stop calling him a something." He chuckled, as soon as my eyes landed on the contents of the trunk, a strange sensation came over my body.

"It's..."

"Yeah, I know. I found him erased just outside the zones. You okay?"

"I... I dunno..." I answered, honestly.

Everything inside of me wants to punch him in the face... but there's an insignificant amount of love still there keeping me from it... those memories may be fake... but to my head they were so... real... he's like... a lover from a past life... what happened to him?

"Brendon?" I asked, quietly. His now broken brown eyes looked to mine. A bandana covered his mouth, with his BLI uniform torn to shreds. He looks so... vulnerable... a look I haven't seen in years...

"K/j/n!" I looked up to find Ghoul standing in front of the door, "Is everything alright?"

"Uhm, yeah... yeah..." I answered as he came closer, "Oh I'm sorry, Ghoul, this is my friend Mr. Sandman. Sandman, this is my boyfriend, Fun Ghoul."
