"Are vu sure he can blay ze biano drunk?" Germany questioned.

New Zealand nodded. "Yeah, this wouldn't be the first time he's done this. Just watch."

"Okay, cut!" Vee yelled. "Everyone take five!"

The countries dispersed, chatting with each other as Vee headed back to their office. They sat down at their desk, looking through the ideas they had written down for future chapters when someone knocked on their door.

"Come in," they told their visitor. The door opened, revealing their friend, Ali. "Hey, Ali. How ya doin' today? And what pronouns are you using?"

"I'm pretty good," Ali responded. "And she/her for now. What're you up to?"

"I'm just working on the new chapter. It should be done sometime tomorrow."

"Oh, that's good! I can't wait to see what you've planned."

Vee grinned. "If you're excited for that, then you should be excited for what I'm gonna do in the next chapter."

Ali groaned as she flopped onto a chair, her legs dangling over the armrest. "I know that tone. That doesn't mean anything good."

Vee gave her an innocent smile. "What tone? I'm not using whatever tone you're talking about."

Ali rolled her eyes. "Dude, I'm a writer, too. I know that tone because I've used it before, and my outernet friends know that that tone doesn't mean anything good."

Vee laughed as they shook their head and looked at their computer screen. "Oh dear, I've been caught," they said as they logged onto Wattpad. As they took a sip of water, they checked on their story and proceeded to spit out their water.

Ali, who was scrolling through tumblr, looked up at Vee. "What's wrong?"

"Handling A Crisis hit 1k reads."

Ali shot out of her chair and joined Vee at their desk. "Wait, what? Really?"

"Yes, really! It's literally right in front of you, you blind bat!"

Ali playfully shoved Vee. "Oi, shut up. You and your stupid 20/20 privileges." She looked at the screen and saw that Handling a Crisis had indeed hit 1k reads. "Oh my fucking God, it really did."

"It hit 1k reads."

"And it's passed seventy votes."

Vee looked at Ali. "Wait, what?" They looked at the screen again. "Oh sweet Holy Ghost, it did. When did it get even hit fifty?"

"Dude, didn't you just hit 500 reads, like, three days ago?"

"Yeah, I did! Oh my God, how and when did this happen?!"

"I don't know, but dude, congrats!" Ali walked towards the door. "I'm gonna tell the cast about this, okay?"

"Got it. I'll work on thanking the readers." After Ali left the room, Vee looked at their audience. "Thank you so much for 1k reads, you guys! This is amazing!" They chuckled sheepishly. "I, uh, I honestly don't know what to say other than 'thank you'. Words can't really express what I'm feeling right now."

Vee smiled. "Okay, well, that's all for now. I'll be seeing you guys again tomorrow! Hopefully." She waved. "Bye, guys!"
