Chapter 5: Exposed (Part 3)

XIONNEN'S POV

"Yes Kuya Xave, I'm okay but there is some problem here and it's not for you to worry, anyway." I said to Kuya Xave, tumawag sya ngayon sa akin. Ang tinutukoy ko ay yung problemang kinasasangkutan ni Bench... actually, hindi ko din naiintindihan ang mga nangyayari...

"About what, Xionnen?" tanong ni Kuya, I'm not sure if I should tell him na may chismis na kumakalat about kay Bench...

"Nothing Kuya, it's not really about me...it's about Bench." I decided to answer him like that, sapat na malaman niyang si Bench ang may problema para mabawasan ang pag- alala niya but honestly, I just don't want to tell all about this to Kuya Xave because I feel like crying every time I think of that....no way Bench would cheat on me...

"Oh. Anong problema niya? Well, ayokong makialam but I want you to know that I'm not wishing anything bad for him...I'm on your side." sabi ni Kuya. I can hear the sincerity in his voice, alam niya kung gaano ko kamahal si Bench, at isa pa, my brother is not the type who holds grudges...

"Yeah, I know that, Kuya.. thank you.." I said to him, I walked to get a glass of water on the fridge. Pinatong ko sa counter yung glass ko at sumandal lang doon... everything that's happening is draining my energy... this is so stressing.

"Yeah, so, maybe we can just catch up next time.." I know that he's going to hang up on me now but I really have to ask this to him.

"Ah, wait, Kuya!" I don't know what's getting on me but I can't help to worry about Ianne, hindi ko alam kung bakit kailangang laging madamay ang babaeng iyon sa mga ito. She's been out of the picture a long time ago!

"Yes, Xionnen, what?" tanong ni Kuya, I gulped. I'm just going to ask him, it's not like I'm telling him to do something wrong for me.

"Kuya, w-when are you coming back?" I finally asked him. Bumabalik naman si Kuya dito occasionally but that just it, bumabalik pa rin sya sa LA after, he said it's because Ianne needs help or something, hindi ko naman inuungkat because I don't want to look like I'm interested about her.

"You mean, coming back for good?" he asked quietly.

"Yeah, you know, just to prepare myself..." I shrugged. I don't know if I really need a preparation for their return but I can't imagine breathing the same air as Ianne again.

"Well, it'll be really soon. We're not sure when exactly but Ianne decided to come back there, it's also because this is what her parents want so...yeah." I become silent after he answered that. Oh no, they'll be back really soon.

"Xionnen....?" He called again, I breathed in, my heart's pounding inside my chest. No Xionnen, hindi ka pwedeng kabahan, yeah babalik na sya, pero hindi ibig sabihin nun na babalik sya para kay Bench, mukhang masaya na sila ni Kuya, of course, they love each other, much more kaysa nung una nilang relationship, nagkabalikan na sila ni Kuya, wala na si Bench para sa kanya, sayo lang si Bench, remember that Xionnen...
