Chapter 1: This is Now

Here's the Chapter 1. Sorry for keeping you guys wait! Super busy eh, actually, dapat hindi ko pa ito ipopost dahil hindi pa tapos yung Pinky Promise pero wala eh, nainip ako! XD

But oh well, please be aware that the first chapters were all about the changes that happened after Ianne left, k? Marami nang nagbago kaya wag kayong manibago. Bwahaha! More on pag-a-adopt sa new book ang mangyayari sa bandang unahan ng story, yung mga twist, puro sa bandang gitna na, k? Hahaha! Baka kasi tamarin kayong mabasa so I gave head-ups. XDDD

CHAPTER 1: THIS IS NOW

IANNE's POV

♩♪♫♬ I wish I was strong, enough to lift

Not one..... but, both of us. ♩♪♫♬

I reached for a photo frame in front of me. Unconsciously, I crooked a smile.  He still has the same effect on me. Years passed and I can't still forget how my heart beats because of him.

Not one...... but, both of us. ♩♪♫♬

We are smiling in the photo. This is one of the pictures that we took when we were still together...... when we were still together. The thought makes me frown.

But we are not together now, I don't even know if we can still be... what I know is, I left him... for good, though I don't know if that's a right decision that I made.

If I was just strong enough to face everything with him, maybe things are different now. If I just know how to stand up for him, if I am not a coward to fight for us then, I will not be here in California, instead I am byhis side—every now and then.

"Kylie, let's go?" I felt his hands land on my shoulder. I put back the frame to the table and face him. I know it hurts him to see me still clinging on my past and I am a sadist for showing him this most of the time.

"Sure, is everything okay now?" I looked in his clear, happy eyes and he smiled at me in return before giving me a peck on my cheek. Sometimes, his sweet gestures can make me forget the pain.

"Yeah. Nothing to worry. We just need to have fun in the amusement park this whole day." He answered. I nodded and smile.

He removed his arm from my shoulder and reached my hand. He's with me the whole time that I needed someone to lean on, ever since. He's the only one on my side.

"Thank you, Xave." I tighten my hold in his hand. I know he gets what I really meant. I thank him...for everything he did for me, and still doing.

This is where I am now. Not by his side, not even an inch away from him. And I guess, this set-up will not stay for long, because eventually, I will have to face him.

I must face Bench, my skater boy, again.
