Chapter 3: Is she back?

BENCH'S POV

Mga alas-tres na siguro ako nakaalis mula sa unit ko, pagkagaling ko kina Xionnen, dumiretso muna ako sa office ni Ate Thea, pinapunta niya ako doon para linawin yung mga schedule ko, na-cancel din yung naka-sched na gig ko ngayong gabi kaya naman sakto lang para makapunta ako sa tropa, medyo nagkayayaan kasi sila na mag bar.

Nakasakay ako ngayon sa kotse ko nung biglang nag-ring yung phone ko. Agad ko iyong kinuha, baka kasi si Xionnen yun eh. Pasaway! Nakalimutan ko siyang tawagan kanina, siguro nag- alala na sya ngayon!

Ate Thea calling...

Nakita ko na yung manager ko pala yun tumatawag sa akin, di naman ako nadismaya, pero nakakapagtaka lang, ano namang itatawag niya sa akin?

"Oh Ate Thea?" bungad ko sa kanya when I answered her call. Nagda-drive pa din ako, alam ko liko sa kaliwa yung bar na pagma-may- ari ni PJ eh, oo, big time na ang loko, may sarili ng bar!

"Bench, the contract is all set, you just have to sign it by tomorrow then we're good to settle the release of your single." Informed sa akin ni Ate Thea, napaisip naman ako, haynako, mas maraming trabaho 'toh ah.

"Okay,"sagot ko naman kay Ate Thea on the other line. Ayan, nakikita ko na ang Pierre's Night, iyon yung tawag sa bar ni PJ, ewan ko ba dun, ang baduy mag pangalan.

"And also, the launching is maybe 2 or 3 weeks from now. So yeah, the music video will be release around the same date. Okay?" 2-3 weeks? Anak ng, paguran na naman ito, mukhang kailangan ko talagang magpakasaya ngayon gabi ah! At dapat di ko din kalimutang magsabi kay Nen na mas magiging busy ako.

"Cool. I'll drop by to your office tomorrow for the contract. I'm at PJ's bar." Sabi ko kay Ate Thea, syempre manager ko sya kaya lahat ng bagay, kailangan kong sabihin sa kanya. Pero syempre, pwera na lang yung mga bagay na ayokong sabihin, like my past.

"Bench, alam mong maraming mata ang industriya. Kung makakauwi ka kaagad, umuwi ka na, na-cancel nga yung gig mo tonight, instead of resting magliliwaliw ka pa." sermon na naman sa akin ni Ate Thea, she's acting like my mother again, all right, let's rephrase that, like my elder sister, tutal yun naman talaga ang tingin ko kay Ate Thea mula umpisa pa lang eh. Parang ate ko na din sya.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm hanging up. Bye Ate." I said then tapped the end button. May mga guard na sumalubong sa akin nung makapasok ako, it's all dark and loud in here, that's good, I can have all the fun that I want. Cherrio, baby! :D

Karmin's Brokenhearted is playing on the music and the people are of course, getting wild in the dance floor, and some of course are getting wild in their own world. I was searching for them when I get trapped by a group of girls, they're you know, the type of girls that are frequent in places like this.

"Hey! I know you! You're Bench Hernandez!" the black-wavy-haired chic screamed over the music and jumped over me. Her voice sounds like high-pitch. Arghh!

"Yeah! Oh no! I can't believe this, I'm one of your fans!" the other one said next, she's an inches smaller than the first one but she's more pretty I guess.

"That's right! We're your fans, can we take a picture together with you???" the short-haired with blonde highlights grabbed her iPhone and waved it in front of me. But there's something glinting in her voice as she pushes herself closer to me. Naknang.
