Hogwarts-

Maddie's pov

"Maddie..?"

"You don't think she's dead do you?"

"No she's breathing Freddie."

"Maddie.. Wake up.." Fred's soft voice said.
I felt my body ease up at the sound of the twins voice's. I slowly opened my eyes and found myself resting on someone's leg.

"Enjoying yourself, are we?" George said. I immediately lifted myself up and found out that I was passed out on Fred.

"Oh shut it George! You're just jealous." I said smirking. I saw him furiously blush while Fred winked.
"Fred, what was that.. Thing?"

"That my girl, was a Dementor. They're bloody awful!" I took in what he said about Dementors and relived what happened only moments ago.

"Did you hear the lady? The lady was yelling for Harry." I thought out loud.

"You must of heard the same lady as Harry. He went to our compartment saying the same thing."
I nodded and rested my head on Fred's shoulder. I didn't say much for the rest of the train ride. The twins on the other hand couldn't stop jabbering on about they're joke shop they want to open up when they're older. The train slowly jerked to a stop and the twin's slowly rose.

"It's time to go to the feast!" George squealed excitedly.

I rolled by eyes and grabbed my things. I threw on my black robes and followed the twins to the carriages. I saw the first years follow a tall, sturdy, bearded man and couldn't help but wonder if I should have followed them. After the carriages dropped us off at the castle gates, we walked up the the castle. The walls in the hall were stone, with magnificent details in some places. We entered the 'Great Hall' as Fred called it. It was lit up by thousands of floating candles and the ceiling looked like the night sky. "It's beautiful!" I said, bewildered.

"Close your mouth hun, or you're going to catch flies!" Fred said while gently closing my mouth. I couldn't help but blush furiously as George stood there smirking. I rolled by eyes and the twins took off, running to a long table. I stood there awkwardly. There were four houses, and I'm guessing each table represented a house. At the back of the Great Hall, there was another long table, and seated in the middle was an older looking man, with a snow white beard. I locked eyes with him and he smiled. By now, most of the students were seated. A lady opened the doors behind me and guided younger looking students down the hall. I quickly ran to Fred and George, who were laughing uncontrollably.

"Let the Sorting Ceremony begin!" She said happily.

"Shouldn't you be up there?" Fred whispered in my ear. His warm breath made me melt just a little inside.

"I don't know! I was supposed to talk to Dumbledore, but I forgot!" I whispered back.

During the sorting ceremony, Gryffindor gladly accepted 2 new additions to their house. I was looking around, trying to figure out what to do. "Fred, should I go talk to-" I was mid-sentance once again, before getting cut off.

"Before we can begin our feast, we have a final student that needs to be sorted. She will be entering her 5th year at Hogwarts. Will Miss Mason please come up?" Dumbledore's raspy voice echoed through the Great Hall. I was frozen in place for a moment, before both Fred and George nudged me. I walked down the Great Hall, feeling all the eyes on me. When I reached the stool in which all first year students sat, I froze again. I looked at the tattered old had and took a deep breath.

"Have a seat." Professor McGonagall said.

I sat down and I felt the hat being placed on my head. My heart was beating very fast and my finger began to tap on my leg.

Tap-Tap

Inhale-Exhale

Tap-Tap

The hat began to shift around and said, "Ahh, Miss Mason, I was wondering when you woud arrive."
