Ella's POV- November 2019

After a long day of traveling, I was back in LA for the long weekend. My body was exhausted, so a little after dinner; I hopped into the shower and went to bed shortly after. Much to my surprise, I was awoken a couple of hours later by three knocks on the door.

"Come in" I called out.

I admit I did not expect to see Nora walk in.

"Hey"

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

I climbed out of bed and went to greet her. Her bump was slightly bigger now, but she still looked amazing.

"Somethings up with the central heating system"

Well, that's unfortunate.

"And you know that the cold and I do not do well"

I gave her a squeeze and then placed my hand on her belly.

"So I barged into Gavin's room and made him pack a bag because Chris would have murdered him if I had come alone"

Also true.

"Did you bring Noli and Honey?" I wondered.

"Yeah"

We had a full house then.

"Maybe it's the maternal instinct kicking in, but go check on your not boyfriend?"

I rolled my eyes at the 'not boyfriend' comment.

"Please? He's overthinking about something"

"Okay," I agreed.

She smiled.

"Great, you can take him the blanket I said I would get him"

I grabbed my phone and followed her out of the room.

"How's that arm of yours?"

"Itchy" I replied.

She glanced at me.

"You're not shoving anything in there to scratch it, right?"

I wish.

"No" I answered.

As much as I wanted to, I knew better.

"There isn't much you can do, have you tried using the blowdryer method?"

I nodded.

"Yeah, except I can't carry a blowdryer everywhere I go" I said.

"You've got a couple of weeks left"

I scrunched up my nose earning a giggle from her.

"I know mamas. You've got this"

She handed me a blanket and directed me to the guestroom. The door was open, but she still knocked.

"Look who I found"

Gavin looked downright exhausted.

"Good night"

And just like that, Nora left.

"Hey" I greeted as I set the blanket on the bed.

He smiled and accepted my hug.

"I told Nora not to wake you"

"I was up" I lied.

I kissed his cheek before tightening my hold around his neck. He practically melted against me.

"You're so tense," I told him.

I heard a light sniffle as he nodded against my shoulder.

"Do you want to talk about it?" I wondered.
