"Oh my God! There is this huge protest going on, Hannah. You have to come and fast." Violet grabbed my arm and yanked me down the hall.

Okay, for one, there are so many freaking prom posters around the school. It's disgusting. Two, my mom was soon to give birth, it's scary. Third, how are the protesters at it again if Melissandra was the culprit the whole time? My school was seriously stupid.

"Violet, calm your tits! We can walk, it's not going anywhere," I grumbled. She continued to yank on my arm and pull me after her anyways. I think she has a hearing problem, or just the tendency to be overly hyperactive at times.

“In here, in here!” She shoved me into the choir room and closed the door.

What the fuck? I reached back to open the door again and someone grabbed me by the shoulders and jerked me forward, making me stand in the center of the choir room.

“Oh.”

“Oh.”

“Oh.”

“It’s magic. You know oh oh.”

I gaped. No, this was not happening. There were twenty choir kids around me in a circle and they were singing. They were singing to me. I’m dreaming. I’m freaking dreaming.

“Bum.”

“Bum.”

“Bum.”

“When life is such an impossible task.”

“Things start going really fast.”

“But all I want to know right now…”

“Is if you’ll come along tonight….”

“Tonight.”

“Tonight!”

I slapped myself. Wake up, Hannah! Wake the hell up! Multiple hands grabbed me and pulled me out of the choir room and down the hall. Ah! Oh my God, they are going to kill me! What did I do to the choir kids?

“Sometimes life gets crazy!”

“Sometimes life makes you lazy.”

“With an awful lot of consideration.”

“I swear to you, I’ll use persuasion.”

“To make you come with me.”

“To make you come with me.”

“To make you come with me, tonight!”

“Da da da da! Da da da da!”

“Do do do doom.”

“Di di di di da!”

“Do do do di da da.”

“Tonight is the night!”

They spun me around in a circle.

“Tonight is the night!”

They pushed me out of the school and out by the school buses.

“Tonight is the niiiigghhhhhhhht!”

The buses parted and there was Ryder standing with two boxes in his hand. One said yes.

“Will you, baby?”

The other said no.

“Will you, baby?”
