Consequences

Broken Trust Part 1

Luan POV:

After the first visit, my family sans Lincoln and them kept visiting me to check up on me while also visiting Lincoln who could finally come to my room with help from one of the nurses. At first, I was nervous...however that nervousness became confusion once Lincoln started to shed some tears from his eyes. He told me that he was so scared that I was going to die by the hands of them.

He also explained how he felt disgusted that they would do this horrible thing and have the nerve to say that it was to get him justice. Which confused me...before he said that he knew that I made a mistake..a mistake that may have crippled him, but was just an consequence of not knowing how broken the stove was. I smiled at that...since Lincoln was one of the siblings who actually care about me though it took a talk to convince Leni and Lily to be on my side. 

Afterwards....Mom and Dad got me out of my school. Meaning that I had to go online..which wasn't a problem seeing that I still have to deal with the effects of the entire ordeal. Luckily..Maggie will visit me and when she did she told me what happened to the other students. 

For one..All of their parents were called in to an assembly that Principal Lewis set up and were told of how their children acted towards me. Needless to say...A lot of kids got grounded..it was also there that Principal Lewis told them about my attempt which made people feel awful especially Benny...who is now my former crush. Benny was not the person that I thought he was and I cannot let him into my heart if he'll abandon me without letting me explain anything. 

Which brings us to the present where I'm leaving the hospital to see...my other "sisters". Mom and Dad said that I didn't need to do this, but one of my group said it was finally time to give them a piece of my mind. That's right...I forgot to mention that my doctor gave me information about a group who helps depressed teens get over their depression. It was free of charge which was something that made Mom and Dad sigh a breath of relief. Especially since the house was almost finished. 

"Are you sure that you want to do this Luan?" Mom asked as we reached the police station.

"Yes. I can't avoid what happened in the past..I need to face it. Even if it means talking to them to do it." I said.

"Alright...Just be aware that your mother, Leni, Lily and I will be in the waiting room waiting for you after you finish." Dad said.

"Okay." I said.

"To be honest Luan...What you're doing is very brave. And it's not just me who thinks that...Lincoln also thinks that you're brave." Leni said.

"Okay...Let's do this." I said. As I exited Vanzilla, I walked in and requested to see my tormentors ready to leave the past behind and head towards the future. Hopefully this will get me the closure that I need because if it doesn't then...my work would all be for nothing.
