Consequences

Fury

Rita POV:

After the police took the rest of our daughters away...Luan's doctor came in and told us that Luan was underweight, had several cuts on her arms and they had to pump her stomach. Luckily..she's expected to wake up tomorrow, but for now...Lynn and I have a job to do. 

Luan has been suffering too long at her school and nobody stopped their bullying towards her. And what's worse...none of her teacher's lifted a finger to help her. So after we stayed with Lincoln for a couple of hours...we went home and told Leni that she wasn't going to school for a couple of days. 

In the morning, Lynn and I went towards the school and marched into the principal's Office.

"Mr. And Mrs. Loud...Why are you here?" Arnold Liam, the principal  asked.

"We're here because of the bullying that my daughter Luan went through at this school." I said.

"Bullying, but none of the teachers reported anything to me."  Liam said.

"That's because they let the students do it. Because of their neglect...My daughter suffered day in and day out at the hands of these monsters that you call students. Only one stood by her side, but she alone couldn't stop Luan's downward spiral." I said.

 Liam quickly called two of her teachers...Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Copper to come to his office.

"You wanted to see us...Liam." Mrs. Smith said.

"I managed to get some disturbing information from Luan Loud's parents about some bullying that was being done to her. So I'm asking you..Did you see it and do nothing?"Liam asked.

"There was no bulling being done. Her parents are clearly liars." Mrs. Smith said as some sweat went down her forehead.

"Oh really...Then why do I have these notes that my other daughter Leni handed us at the hospital." I said as I handed Arnold the notes. He quickly read them and looked at the two teachers with fury on his face.

"I'm going to ask you one more time...Did you know that this was going on? And before you lie to me again let me tell you that I'll report you to the administrative council." Arnold said.

"Fine. We did notice it. But she did deserve it..." Mrs. Copper said before she noticed the look in my eyes.

"Luan didn't deserve this. All she did was make a mistake, but does anyone see that...NO!! Instead they imagine my Daughter as a monster. A monster who should be isolated and treated as a pariah. It was the final push to send my daughter to the hospital after she tried to over dose on pills." I shouted.

"I..I.." Mrs. Copper said.

"I've seen enough. Mrs. Smith...Mrs. Copper...you're fired and I will personally organize an assembly and punish all of the students who treated Luan so poorly. All except for that one student who stayed by her side." Arthur said.

After the meeting, Lynn and I started to walk out of the school...gaining attention from all of the students. But I didn't care..they were monsters. Monsters who drove my baby into suicide. And the most troubling thing of all...was that some of them were my own daughters. I was almost to my car...when I heard someone run up to me.

"Ms. Loud...What are you doing here?" Maggie asked.

"Maggie...We told the principal what was going on with Luan. She would've have done so later, but something happened to Luan before we could act." I said.

"What happened to her?" Maggie asked.

"She tried to commit suicide." I said.

"What?" Maggie said with a shocked expression.

"The bullying was too much for her and if it wasn't for my daughter Leni..we would have never known about it until it was far too late." I said while trying to stay strong.

"I'm so sorry...I should've done something more.." Maggie said.

"It wasn't your fault Maggie...You did all that you could. But you should be glad to know that Lincoln woke up yesterday." I said.

"And was he mad at Luan?" She asked.

"No. He understood that it was a mistake and wanted to see her when he opened his eyes." I said.

"I bet that he was furious when he found out what happened." Maggie said..trying to lighten the mood.

"He was. He couldn't believe that his sisters would do such a thing to Luan. And told them that he still loved them, but he was disgusted by them at the same time." I said.

"May I ask...Where they are?" Maggie asked.

"We had them arrested for what they did. We tried to make them open their eyes yet..they had their heads deep inside their asses to see the bigger picture." I said.

"Oh..Well I better get to class..But before I go..can I get Luan's hospital number." Maggie asked.

"She's in room 5-67 on the fifth floor. The doctor said that she was going to wake up today so hopefully you'll be able to see her when she opens her eyes." I said.

As I watched Maggie walk off, I thought about my daughters. I knew that I had to get a restraining order for Luan...which could make things difficult if we all had to live in the same house. 

Maybe it's time for me...to look for other means of living for them.
